Attempted my first real maintenance item for my E63 today (B Service is due) so got all the fixin's from FCP Euro, and once they came in I started on it today in my garage. Went to jack the front of the Merc up with the center lift thingy and my jack snagged on the flooring (and stayed stationary) while the car went in the air and went it got to a certain point it crushed the plastic center lift and the car slid (angle as it went up car was chocked) off the lifted jack, and like a street fighter going "hadukken" into all the soft bits behind the radiator.... So far no leaks but intercooler piping is partially crushed, along with I think the turbo coolant lines, broken blade on the fan, chunk missing out of fan shroud, and bottom of the radiator is f'd up.
So questions for the group, aftermarket radiator and intercooler while I'm in there? LOL
These cars are expensive enough to work on without causing damage due to my own negligence, sigh.... So until I get a lift in the garage, anytime I need to (after this) I'll be taking it to the Auto Hobby Shop near work (on base). What a cluster fudge
Radiator and the black tubing line another angle showing the fan shroud shroud and silver lines hit...
I do alot of my own work, not just on the amg, but other cars too, actually got a side buisness llc that I run.
But instead of using a jack, I use a air compressor air lift. All rubber and lifts alot faster. It's the same rubber that our rear air shocks are made from. Yes I still use jackstands at all times when under the car, but to avoid issues like this, this thing is great!!

This once happened to me on my prior e55 so don’t feel too bad. Thankfully just like yours, the damage was minimal, just pain to fix. Depending on your prior maintenance it could be time to do other hoses or tubes, but that will depend on how deep you want to dive. The radiators are not hard and most piping other than turbo hoses are not hard either which I’ve diy’ed on this platform. The biggest issues are when older plastic bits can break as you do the work.

Good luck and we are here to help along the way.
Glad to hear I'm not alone on this, though of all of my vehicles for this to happen to.... I'm new to this platform for doing my own wrenching, also part of the sell plan to the wife. Will be much more careful next time, and appreciate the info on the plastic bits, haven't run into it yet. *fingers crossed*

Sorry to hear that you had to deal with this, mistakes happen and we are humans after all, so not perfect by any means but hey the positive is you can finally throw in that aftermarket intercooler you mentioned. Hopefully it gets fixed soon so you are back on the road : )
You are not alone OP, someone messed up even worse not on MB though but you get the idea.

If this makes you feel better, DIY is always the way to go, who knows if some dealership mess up and they hide it from you and you never know until more damage is created, that is what I occasionally read on the forums.
You would think that you can trust a dealership to get something done properly when they have been actually trained for hours to repeatedly do the same thing? Think again:
(here is an example: although this dealership admitted fault but they couldn't had hid this anyway, at least they didn't admit fault until MBUSA stepped in with an investigation) https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...agon-fire.html
I use a Quickjack 6000ELX (bought longest one due to affinity for longer wheelbase vehicles) but haven't lifted my E63 with it yet. For my low ceilings and in lieu of a real shop, I think it's the way to go. You can creep around under it and it seems way better than jack stands. I keep them on the floor in my wife's bay and she drives over the center of them when not in use.
I did this to my CL55, my E63 and my CLS63S,... lol it's not rare. I broke my radiator fan wheel but... got another one from a pick a part. Don't feel bad
