E63 Airmatic Ride Height ?
Searched around in the 212 section but didn't come up with much here . Some variables involved when measuring etc. But I had a bad level sensor in front , car sat higher then it should have for a while (15 E63). Stock suspension .
Had the level sensor replaced , adjusted the other front & level calibration was all done at the mb dealer.
Does this sound about right, fender to ground measurent so not 100% accurate. Rear susp. comes up to about 27.5" in comfort mode which looks fine , then sport mode in rear drops to 26.25 maybe 26.50" tops pending how level it is . Almost looks too low in the rear . May have always been off prior .. anyone happen to have their ballpark rear measurements.

Level Calibration Questions - W212 E63S AMG 2015
I went to the regional MB specialty clinic, told them "the back lowers when parked". Their final assessment was "the back lowers when parked" and also "replace the bags", but no estimate provided which was fine. A friend told me "most of these dealership guys don't really understand the MB air systems" - and this seemed to confirm that. So, got a youcanic and checked out the diagnostic and maintenance suspension functions, also did some measurements. See details in photos.
Questions:
a) the maintenance screen levels not in spec. These can/should be brought somehow back to 20 or -20, correct?
b) the diagnostic level screen shows left front as quite a bit off. This is evidence that the levels do need to be brought back into spec, as noted above?
After replacing control arms recently, the headlights were out of wack initially, but leveled out nicely - magically and mysteriously. Currently, after replacing rear shocks, they're a bit wonky again. Will check level sensors when can get under there, could that be contributing to out of spec issues?
c) read a post thanks peterubers about floor-wheelwell measurements, as well as some discussion of the air bags and what is expected from them...I've included measurements under cold, start and sit, and power off conditions - and would appreciate any comments as to - is this 'normal' or acceptable, in your assessment? It drives great, it adjusts C/S/S+ fine, it deflates once parked.
*Measurements are not precise, vehicle was certainly not level. Plan to get to friends shop to get on level equipment and have some under-access, meanwhile any comments are welcome!
also, diagnostics shows 3 acceleration sensors, but no right rear: I'm guessing there is a 4th sensor that for some reason is not showing up? huh?
and for entertainment, the comment from the technician as to what is needing maintenance, adjustment, to get the rear suspension sorted. There is no clear wear/damage/leak at first look, but 10 years and varied climates from sand to snow suggest the bags may in time need replace.
diagnostic levels
maintenance level specs
doesnt the right rear accelerate also
approximate measurements
Working on learning here. Thanks to all who make this possible.
