Driving dynamics + B58 reliability. I’ve never owned a BMW but I think it’s time. Regarding the downgrade, I would say not really considering that my E63 is a product of late 2000’s MB design. The M340i came out in 2020. I just keep hearing how ultra reliable the B58 is. So why not.

I didn’t think the SOAP thing would derail the thread.
How could it?
SOAP is an oil analysis technique.

Welcome to the modern US...to me (and trust me, I am right)..."Soap" is what moms all over the US were watching while they were day drinking and the kids were licking lead paint and inhaling asbestos from the gloves next to the fire place.....

In my totally unintended attempt to derail the thread, then totally intentional attempt to rerail it, all I am getting is a runaway train!

Well OP, it all started because forum member kevm14 posted another Blackstone oil analysis result, that is with the oil pump solenoid unplugged which shows positives, which is good : )

I agree, other than their analysis indicates that you can. Still, since oil analysis is rearward looking, I don't want to have an analysis after 10,000 miles come back and say "Oops!" (I don't even think I drive over 10,000 miles in a year anymore.)
I suspect their analysis doesn't provide any indication of carbon buildup on intake valves or other parts affected by oil. Plus, changing the oil every 3,000 miles ensures that I spend some quality time with my cars.

Lots of videos, but it's either chemical treatment, which is iffy at best, walnut blasting, or mechanical scraping. I would first inspect the valves to ensure they are bad to begin with. Most of what I have read or watched indicate a neglected engine, lots of stop-and-go driving, short trips, and/or long oil change intervals lead to carbon buildup.
EDIT: And using the improper oil.

Reason I asked is because the amount of carbon on those intakes from just 30K miles M276 of this video shared in another thread by another forum member:
