Rear driver side suspension squeak, what could go wrong?
Hi all,
Today I found that my rear driver-side suspension has a squeaking noise when going into dip. Bump seems fine as I didn't hear any noise when driving over bumps. The same noise will come out whenever going over a moderate to large size of dip. The noise is not harsh, not like metal clicking. More like squeezing a rubber duck.
Anyone have the same problem? I'm wondering what could possibly go wrong.
Many thanks
P.S. My car is c217, not w212. But consider w212 forum has larger crowds and amg share many parts between models, I post this thread here. Hopefully it's not a violation to the forum policy

Just a one-sided dip, like that corner dips down and the other stays even on the road? I'd usually look first to sway bar links/bushings if that's the case, and of course visually inspect the control arm and subframe bushings back there. Does the C217 have air suspension in the rear? If not, there are multiple rubber items on the struts that could contribute as well.
First step is to get the car on a lift for a visual then go from there.
