I feel like any aftermarket exhaust or any exhaust other than downpipes removes the signature v8 amg sound, and than it starts to sound like other v8s out there

Looks very nice.
Curious how it sounds.
I do agree that the AMG has a distinct sounds (in particular the C63 W204) but it is a fine line behind maximizing that desired noise versus making the car too loud.
I recently did this with my 911 making it too loud, but loving it. Then spent $$ going 'backwards' to a louder than stock system that is acceptable to my wife and the neighbors. This was mainly an issue when going to work at 0530.... definitely got the side eye on 'cold starts, which varied between 97-99 dB; High flow cats (on my 911) and a valved system now give me the volume I want at the push of a button and near stock volume with the valves closed. Less than 2-3 dB difference now at idle with the valves closed as tested with my decibel meter. With the valves open and WOT it sounds better and a touch louder (less than 10 dB).
I think my issue with the E63 is having the interior lacking the exhaust tone as it sounds much better when outside/following the car.
This has lead me to accept that the E63 might just be staying quiet.
