Looking for a source, pictures, or manual showing the location of the cam cap for the back of the head... I had one fall out. It was laying in the pan when I dropped it to do an oil change...

Check the rear of your exhaust camshaft Bank#2... Either by feel or with a mirror.

Thanks man. I can't feel it, but I can tell that's where it's coming from because of the oil on the back of the motor in that general area and on the firewall protector. Now to figure out how to replace the darned thing.

 

We can assume you need to glue your camshaft cap back in place or it will fall off again.

Clean the surface area to give RTV a chance to stick - GO EASY: you dont want RTV junk to circulate chunks that can plug oiling galleries (crankshaft!) - So silicone the cap outside shoulder, not the bore hole.

As soon as blow bye is stopped from exiting right there, another venting is going to become active: TIMING COVERS!
