Went from E63 to this...
I owned my 2015 E63S from new for seven trouble-free years until it started giving me problems.
Oil got into the wiring harness...long story short, I went to the dark side and got a Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 manual.
Big change from sedan to a low...really low coupe.
I'm still getting used to it, but overall, love the car and everyday drivability.
Complete absence of big screens, manual, and buttons for everything were a huge plus.
What do you guys think?

My E63 will outperform my 911, just not on twisty roads and under braking. I wish the weight of the AMG was equal to the 911. 1300lbs difference is huge.
Compared to the Ecars of today, the AMG is now the light weight car.

Can you elaborate on what happened w/ the E63 after the oil leak? I always thought that the cam position sensor issue got resolved around 2013 or so.... So I figured newer cars would be safe?

Here is the original thread from a year ago: https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...-thread-3.html
The short answer is a no; the cam positioning sensors' oil leak was never fixed on M157.
Perhaps you are referring to the headbolt issue that was fixed around that time on M156?
