This is what I have so far. Do I need to get rid of it in the middle as well or just where the sealer gasket goes?
this was done with break cleaner for 10 min and then 800 grit sand paper.
Do our gasket around magnet leak or just the seal around the cover?

That’ll be perfect.

The color/ oxidation is due to it being magnesium. As long as the sealing surface is clean with some bite, you are good to go.

the magnet seal is an oring so I’d just make sure it’s smooth and clean but try not to remove any material.

really really read the loctite/mb sealant instructions as it takes a long time to cure dependent on temperature but especially humidity. Consider if it’s right for you. As mentioned before I’ve used reinzosil in place of it and just like all RTV use, don’t use too much and you will be fine.

Thank you. Would you happen to have an idea on how to remove the wire harness. I have the wis directions and still can not get the wire harness to the side.

I have to try and go under the wire harness to put valve cover back on and its a pain. The wires going to back of the engine do not give you much room to get it out of the way.
