E63 airmatic issue

I lowered the rear of my 2014 E63s with a lowering module for the first 6 months it rode like a dream now i noticed it rides harsh and bumpy could the suspension need recalibration ?

when you delete the module and take it back to stock, same issue?

If so, you have bad shocks or and airmatic issue. Usually, not always, airmatic issues will trigger an airmatic dash warning but this may change with modules as it can likely be overridden.

Take it back to stock. Determine if any errors and if it rides like it should in stock, scan with a scan tool like icarsoft the airmatic system for errors or outlying values. Many links in the sticky on airmatic after that to solve your issue.

In general that means that something is damaged. The shocks have a set point that they like to spend their lives in and when we push the envelope of their design settings things tend to break. Unfortunately those things are currently extremely hard to replace.

Sounds like something is broken or moving under load.

Hope you can source the parts if needing replacement.

had the mechanic check everything and everything looked good in the rear end nothing broken or worn out shocks looked like they weren’t leaking i lifted the rear up a bit thru the module and it feels like it still does the same thing but not as bad

Did you take it back to stock?

For me (some may recall I recently replaced both of my rears after a hunt akin to finding unicorn sushi in a baby seal skin wrapper.....)....but, I got the new shocks, while the ride height "could" be more visually appealing to some...the car rides, corners and accelerates as desired.

It's hard to know what is going on with your car (if anything) because it's challenging to describe the issue you're having and the mechanic (presuming he's good at what he does and thorough) said it's all good.... oh and you have this module

did you take it back to stock?

yeh i took it back to stock today same thing happens and i was there with the mechanic checking over it and seen with my own eyes everything looked still good

I doubt you really hurt if the shocks weren't already going out. Mechanic bro would have caught leaking shocks. Pull the battery terminal, wait 30 min. You'll reset the airmatic system. This will give you a baseline.

If it sways side to side yeah the shocks aren't doing their job. Check shocks for leaks in all 4 corners. You dramatically shorten the life of a strut/shock by making it perform the same job with less travel. I learned this with lowering springs in my import days.
