Fuel Additive

I do use techron once in awhile. Napa auto parts has it on sale alot $12.99 for a 32oz bottle. I dont usually get top tier gas so I figure the Techron may help clean things in the fuel system.
I use Seafoam in all my small engine equipment, mix it in with the gas container and the gas seems to stay good. I never have any fuel related issues. Two years ago i was at Lowes and they had two craftsman pressure washers being sold "for parts only" for $25 each, they were brand new looking and customer returns. Service desk said they wont run. I bought them both and noticed the gas was very stale. Drained and cleaned the gas tanks and pulled and cleaned the carbs. They both started right up and ran great. Sold one and kept the other. I hardly use the thing and leave it full of the gas with seafoam, always starts right up and had the same gas for over a year. Seafoam does work, I feel. For small engines and gas sitting in plastic containers.

I used to winterize my boat by fogging the carbs, with the engine running at idle, until it bogged down. Then I made sure the gas tank was full to minimize space for condensation. Then I added the proper amount of stabilizer. I removed the battery and kept it off the ground, on a trickle charger. The following spring when it was time to put the boat in the water, it would start right up, after a relatively short crank.

those are generic cleaners, when they say for fuel, they attract the -{chocolate}- flavor on the PINKY minds!

snak oil? I doubt it.

Could just be coincidence. I did have work done to the exhaust manifold and the cat was removed and O2 sensors unplugged. Also I had to re-set the clock and the date so im sure they disconnected the battery for awhile. When I picked up the car the MPG was saying something really low in the single digits.

Attached is a report that details the effectiveness of PEA in Toptier gasoline.

One thing i kept seeing online is that Techron no longer had that PEA in it. I was happy to peel back the label on the bottle and see it listed.
I typically fill up at a Gulf station near me. I kept seeing people say Gulf isnt Top Tier so it isnt the best. Though when I look it up they mention Gulf using BASF additives. Doesnt BASF make the mercedes branded fuek additive?

Here is the link to finding a Top Tier Gas Station in your area. I think Tasos has us all scared seeing the coated valves and burnt piston/cylinder walls....

I would love to find a gas station that has ethanol free more so for my small engine equipment. There are none in new England that I can find. I did find one Sunoco listed but when i went they just had it in containers.
