Is this the correct S212?

New to the forum, new to the brand. I've been modifying BMWs for years, and my current vehicle is a 700whp X3M. I recently decided I to buy a V8 Mercedes to try another platform. I'm planning on some tasteful modifications with a target of 650-700 whp.

I am looking at a 2015 E63 wagon. I ordered a PPI from Lemon Squad, but found it a little lacking. Anyone willing to tell me whether these pictures give them any pause?

FYI: to the wagon has 60k miles and they're asking $47k. I love how it looks, I'm just afraid I don't know enough about the platform to know whether I'm buying a basketcase.

Get a PPI that has a compression test and bore pics for starters. If You can't get a complete maintenance history from the dealer , that's an issue. Lemon squad is glorified carfax so It's the same as having a buddy go look at a car for You. You need a specialty car performance shop to do a complete PPI. If it's less than 500 bucks they ain't lookin hard enough.

Oh, I think it's better to end up not owning a used E63 because of concerns about whether or not it's a decent car versus owning a E63 but having tons of issues with it.

Thats written in a very cryptic way and I agree, it's better to hold out to buy the right car, even if it means waiting or spending more for a proper ppi or two. And unfortunately at this point, a used warranty for that age of car is going to be extremely costly if you want it to be exclusionary.. because the engine is a fortune if you buy the wrong car. Truly use a mechanic that knows the platform and will do compression and boroscope and not tell you that you dont need it or offers you opinion. Plus a full xentry (the Mercedes factory scan) readout. Plus if you call a dealer, they will not give you a print of the vmi (vehicle master inquiry), but they will often read it to you over the phone if you're super nice and friendly.
