Coilover Options

I have a 14' E63S AWD wagon and looking to buy some coilovers but not really seeing anything out there. Anyone have something aftermarket?

Nope. None that anyone has found as of yet. You can get OE still (the dealer has to back order them...)

Interesting. I would have thought KW would have at least had something for this car by now. Anyone try out the BC racing coilovers?

There are a few options I have heard of for the sedans. Not the wagons.

Is the front suspension the same for the sedans and wagons? Only the back is different?

The front is the same. There is no rear coilover option. I have the KW HAS kit on my wagon with their rear lowering links that just trick the suspension into lowering based on percieved ride height.

I have a X218 (Wagon) CLS 500 AWD with Airmatic and the company RSC Suspensions from Switzerland will build a Coilover Kit for my car. It would be amazing to drive the car low without this bumpy Airmatic. If you need further details, feel free to contact me. It's the same for S212.

Have you ordered them already? Never heard of this company before. Looks like around $5100 according to their website.

It's a friend of mine, he was long time working as a mechanic for the Porsche Cup and has big knowledge. The technology is the same like in the Öhlins DFV. So a very high standard and it will be made for your car specific.

Yes I ordered the coilovers (end of february) and it will takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. I took it all black but you will have the options to choose the color you want.

Can't wait to show you.. 👍🏻

No, it should not be more than 4300-4400 US Dollar.

I dunno, maybe I am missing something. I have checked this thread a few times the past few days. Just ordered new (arnott) bags for one of my cars...In the past few weeks I have done two pumps, two solenoids and now two bags on two cars. Replaced some hose...yadda yadda. I guess I am not so sure what getting coil overs provides for us. For me, I have two wagons...not sure that there is any cost savings with coil overs (as they are over $4k)....I dunno, I guess what am I missing?

Yeah I just replaced shocks and struts and all the parts that go with it. The ride is pretty good but it was more expensive than 4400 $ I would have to see an awful lot of improvement in ride quality over stock to switch to coilovers. I have no interest in a lower ride either.

As soon as I have some, I'll post them here. I can post a few photos of RSC suspensions here, if that's what you'd like?

First pics of the production of my custom coilovers from rsc suspensions:

Some parts need to be powder coated and assembled, but this is the first pic from the process.

In the next two weeks, it will be completed. Can't wait to show you guys.

Even though I no longer have a W212, I am curious to see how this turns out. There has been a thread or two regarding this topic and no one has posted anything conclusive. Back when I thought I'd keep my W212 forever, I had thought about doing this conversion. No company offered a straight answer (as in posted on their websites) regarding fitment into AIRMATIC fitted models other than "will not fit". Anyhow, does RSC offer a solution that includes what happens to the electronics?

RSC only made the coilovers for me, because he can made for every car of the world. It's a brand which makes custom coilovers. For the electronics I have a very good friend, who is a pro for MB codings with Vediamo and Monaco. He will do this for me after the installation. He can also do via remote for all guys around the world. 👍🏻
