E63 clunking
This light knock/ clunk came from no where and very annoying.
I've done borescope test sleeves are good, replaced spark plugs with right torque, put new MB 5w40 oil, check oil filter for flakes.. nothing. Apparently noise gone first day after the oil change but appeared next day.
Not hearable on idle but noticeable in between 1000-1500rpm when engine warm, then near disappear on hot engine.
Last night Xentry diagnostic done as well, no misfire, no codes, no stored codes etc all clear, engine pull good but I scare to push it properly because of this.
I try statoscope myself but as I mention above the knocking not there at idle, rest tik tik tik at the top of heads are not suspicious.
Where to dig guys before I throw the money for guessing and advises from the garages!?
I read here similiar topic but conversation suddenly cuted and is not clear if someone rectified the issue.
Regards

From your context description this chunkiness seems to respond well to oil pressure.
Get used oil analyzed to confirm rod bearings need replacement + Do that before couple misguided pistons work out cyl. bores.
At this stage, I would not rush to hide this with oiling upgrade... something caused engine unbalance to overwork few cyls. So fix is not only new rod bearings.

What bearing are you talking about? This noise apperead at the speed of 15 miles per hour before that all was OK. The problem u mention may appear after heavy push.
how can you damage the rod/ crunk bearings in the slow traffic.. my god...
oiling upgrade? You can NOT do any oil upgrade because its V8 E63 not tractor in the field.

Something like stabilizer links, ball joints or engine-tranny mounts.
I would get this road-tested by your trusted specialist.

Cheers
