Do you like hand washing your car?
Wrapping is a must with this...
Calgary....Its a lease and a work car, I was planning on wrapping the front end, mirrors maybe just behind the back tires with 3m but not the entire car

do they use sand in the winter in the roads or pickled mix? My advice is regardless of wrap unless you wrap the whole car, your in for a whole world or hurt. The car CANNOT be put through a car wash at all, and needs to be washed by hand all the time.

Sounds like to much work, I will just hold out and get the Canvasite blue

Quote: I guess I need an engine and 4 wheels to go with it.

I have just gone to see my SA in person. He simply told me the car would typically require 2-3 weeks of production time and after that, a shipping date can then be generated and the approx. arrival in the country can be uploaded/updated in the MB database. Therefore, for now, I have simply said to my SA, if the car encounters any further unexplained delay beyond December 2017, I will NOT accept the car at all, no matter what and they can proceed to refund my deposit on Jan 2, 2018. Not a threat, but simply tired of this whole buying situation (as I am the one having to chase down the information on each of the steps along the way) and will look for something else later on.
Wow, sorry to hear, I just noticed that your car was delayed. I thought we had the same production date, sounds like your's was just a little bit behind mine when they ran out of parts. The door sticker on my car says it was produced Sept 17th. It made pretty good time getting over here to the Northeast. There are a few gremlins with my car. The chrome strips on the rear quarter window have some kind of damage that is under the clear coat that shows up mostly in bright sun, we tried cleaning it out with compound at the dealer with no luck, so it needs a couple of chrome strips there. Then I'm not crazy about the way the hood lines up on the passenger side, the gap is rather large, I can see the hinge and white sticker through the gap in bright light which does not look so good. It's not off by much, but enough. I'm going to have a friend who owns a body shop look at it tomorrow and see what he thinks, I dunno, maybe I'm nuts, lol. I showed it to the salesman who sold me the car and he said it looks fine of course. Then the other thing is I only have one FOB, so hopefully I won't loose the one I do have as then I'm screwed. Somehow the other one got lost at the dealer before I took delivery of the car. I insisted I get a two year maintenance plan thrown in with the car for the inconvenience because I'm heading off to Florida and I'm gonna have to find a dealer there who can program the new one once they they mail it to me from the dealer I bought the car at, could be a while because nobody has any FOB's for any 2018's E's they are all on back order. I do feel the Quality of both Material and workmanship was a little better on my 2012 E63 AMG Wagon, anyhow, your not missing much Bobblehead. Maybe once I can drive the car after it's broken in like it's meant to be driven I'll feel different, but right now I'm having a little buyers remorse. I also do not find the seats very comfortable, The Seats in my 2012 E63 amg were more comfortable, These narrow seats in this car don't conform to my body shape very well. The seats in my 2015 S550 are super comfortable, that car will be much better on long trips.

I have magno grey....stunning. The most amazing color in person I've seen on a car. Seems pretty durable as well. I believe there have been technological advancements as far as matte paint. I only hand wash my cars anyway as I don't trust auto washes with my 130K car. Sure there are special Matte paint products but they are totally affordable. I went with Dr. Beasleys, the CR Spotless DI water filter and a Kranzle K1622 power washer. I am looking forward to babying and taking great care of my E63S.

Not sure why some people feel wrapping an entire matte car is such a must. What's the point of getting the matte in the first place if you are going to wrap it?

C63coupe2012, that looks amazing! Congratulations. I'm a little upset I gave up on waiting, not spending more money, and just getting one. I settled for an M550i because I got impatient and cheap. But, my wife is already talking bad about BMW so I can see us back in an MB just like yours soon

Does that Smart car in the back ground really need a lift? Couldn't they just use two hand trucks and prop it up!

Quote: You're gonna really like the car. What color int combo did you get? Mine has the Nut Brown/Black Leather with the Lined Magnolia trim and the piano gloss black center console, I'll try to take more
pictures of the car tomorrow and post them here. Ya, some people don't like the Red, I do, pictures don't do it justice, in person it looks awesome and I'm really liking the silver forged wheels.
The backside of the car has a lot of bling and I'm liking it. It's a very flashy looking car. I've had Silver, Gray and Black cars in the past and just wanted
something really different this time around.
Wow, we're really on the same page with this car. I've previously owned a silver Lexus IS350, gray Audi S5, silver Ghibli, and now gray E350 Sport Wagon. Never had or wanted a red car, but for some reason I wanted it on this model. Kind of surprised myself by not getting gray, silver, or the dark blue.

I got the black leather with metal weave trim, black seat belts, black headliner. Have had a mix of light and dark interiors in the past. I think both brown and black will look nice with the red paint.

Let's see more pics including interior! When you get a chance.

Wow, nice car, I like the look of the black Mirrors with the red. I had ordered the carbon fiber mirrors but then deleted them, I think I could still add covers to my red mirrors if I wanted, just might do it after seeing this picture.

I'll try to get more pics soon. Been super busy lately. Theres a lot of black in my interior with the headliner, the seat belt straps and the dash. At least the nut brown seats and your black seats won't show the dirt as much. I have a light beige interior in my 2015 S550 and it's a bugger to keep those seats clean, I shoulda thought about that more with the S and got a black interior or something. I'm in a trade where I get dirty sometimes. The lighter colors especially the white would be good for a suit and tie type person. But ya, I'm loving the color combo and getting a lot of comments on it. The Magnolia trim is really nice, I'm not sure why it's not more popular.

Here it is with my S6 that I traded in for it.

I traded the C63S for a GLE63, hated that, and now I am waiting on an Edition 1.

Really nice pics. Kind of feels like Audi has lost their way recently with styling. When I got my '09 S5 I thought it was one of the best looking cars around. And I almost got a second gen R8 which was super slick when it came out. Really liking the current generation of MB sedans and wagons. The AMG GT in the background is gorgeous too. Now there's a car I'd get in silver!

Can you compare the ride & handling with the S6? Specifically how would you compare the various suspension settings (e.g. Comfort modes). I have an E63S on order, and a S6 as well coming up on the end of its lease. Having not had the opportunity to drive the E63 I am curious how it will compare. I tend to leave the S6 in Comfort mode as I find it stays pretty flat through the corners and remains composed over bumps.

I thoroughly enjoyed both cars, but for not so great weather conditions the Audi Quattro excelled. The C63S was way more fun in good conditions, and actually pretty comfortable for long rides even with the Sport seats. Add 4Matic to a car that is a C63S on steroids, now that’s pure mayhem. But this wait for my Edition1 is pissing me off. I put down a deposit on a 2018 C63S as well and if my Edition1 doesn’t ship on 10/31 I will get that instead.

I have to confirm but I believe it was the 3 years maintenance plan they gave me. I saw it as better than nothing. Plus they were proactive and offered it to me before I had to even ask
