2017 E43 squeaky breaks ???

Hello all , I’ve had my e43 since April . Back in June I had the rear pads and rotors replaced due to excessive squeaking , I then had the fronts done from still hearing noise . Now in late August I still get random loud squeaking . I know breaks squeaking from time to time can be normal but this is getting to the point of annoying .. anyone with similar issues ?

Have you tried to re-bed the brakes on your own?

very little traffic here from E43 owners

my e63 brakes are whisper quiet in all temps and seasons since it was new in 2014.... never an issue; however I have read about amg and non-amg loud breaks ...

Solution

Hey everyone...

I took delivery of my E43 in April and had the same issue.

The fix is rather simple...once you take it out on the open road get the car up to 70-80...mindful of your surroundings brake very aggressively then let off the brakes and back on the gas.

Repeat this process a couple of times and the pads will squeal no more! I received this advice from my dealerships shop foreman.

Same advice received from chassis manufacturer for my motorhome. The brakes need to be good and heated up every now and then to burn up the "glue" that binds together the pad material. If you don't brake hard every now and again and get the brakes good and hot, the binding resin accumulates and leads to squealing and stuttering.

Burn it off and it's all good.

Likewise the instructors at the Audi school said the same thing about the brakes on the R8. The students generally don't get them hot enough so every so often they take them out and work the brakes hard to clean them up - presto problem solved.

I personally know what re-bedding is howerever most do not, that's why I explained it in the manner in which I did.

Used to bed in new brake pads frequently on my race bike. A somewhat different procedure from the above, and for a different purpose - mating a virgin brake pad to an existing rotor.

I wasn't thinking of cleaning the rotor and pads (or drum in the case of my MH) as re-bedding exactly.

But, regardless of the term, the procedure as described by a couple of us has at least been shown to be helpful.

I have e43 and same issue as well
So there's no proper way for fix this, just have to re-bed? It's really annoying every morning when car starts, take couple of stops and kinda reduce the noise
