Need new wagon - W212 or W213 - vote!
I asked the W212 guys so it's only fair to get the other camp's opinions and votes.
My one owner 75K mile 2006 E55 wagon got wrecked Thursday AM on the way to work - I need to replace. Currently considering 2 cars - a W212 and a W213. Disagreement in the household about which is better. Considering the newer car and keeping it longer, but.... also concerned about the CEL issues / misfires.
Pros / Cons?

Find a 2018/2019 used with CPO. Be prepared to buy on the spot. I bought my 2018 sight unseen. Talked to the salesman for approx 1/2 hour on the phone and made a deposit right then. If I hadn't made the deposit I would have been SOL as they got several offers between the time I hung up and picked it up 3 days later.

I owned a 2014 E63 wagon from new and in July of this year traded it on a 2019 E63 wagon. I only had ~13,000 miles on my 2014 when I made the trade and, as I was driving the 100 miles to the selling dealer, I thought I was a complete idiot taking the depreciation hit on my 2014 that was still under MBUSA extended warranty. By the time I made the drive back home I no longer felt that way. IMO, the 2018+ E63 is a huge step up in just about every way.

Get a 213. It's the better car in every way. I came out of 212 wagon, which I loved, but the new one is just a dream – interior / handling / performance / technology are leagues ahead of the previous generation.

I voted for 213 which I currently own. For what it’s worth I prefer the powertrain if the 212 which I have in my GLE but the upgraded interior, technology, refinement and aesthetics of the newer car would outweigh the pros of that sweet 5.5l.

So all the CEL and misfires are no longer an issue and any car with them can be 'cured'? (goes to search for root cause and fix of the misfire issue...)

I've never had a single issue with my 213, and I have been driving it like I stole it since about 400 miles (it's now coming up on 10K).

Either way, you will love what you get as they are both remarkable and extremely capable cars.

Had both sedan versions. Both are beautiful from the exterior, and I consider them equals in that space. All other criteria, the w/s213 is superior to the w/s212.
