Adding a 3rd Row to E63 Wagon

Any idea how easy it will be to retrofit trunk seats in the new wagon? A few people were successful with the W212s.

Really ? Is this even possible and safe (as I would think it will need seat belts and seats )

Like W212, this car should have all the openings to easily add belts for the rear trunk area, unless its changed. Havent had the opportunity to see a wagon up close yet.

The only issue for the W212 owners, was having to remove the rear spare...everything else was pretty much bolt in. See below.

I did like it in my '07 AMG wagon... but my kids are old enough they or their little friends won't fit back there, so I'm not as upset for the omission as I was for the '14....

Good luck

Don't they put some of the air suspension components in the spare tire well where the seat would go?

They have the air tank back there so that would have to be re-located. Not super hard to do that but there goes your warranty if you have any suspension issues. I've def thought about it but with the wife having a 3rd row I think I'll just keep it as is.

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
I read somewhere (pro E63 review I believe) that the 3rd row was deleted in the W213 AMG wagon because they added some structural cross-bracing between the rear shock towers. I haven’t compared with a non-AMG wagon to see what the visible differences are, but that makes sense for a performance model.

As the owner of 3 DELIGHTFUL little children, it’d be nice to have but I’m sure its a major hassle if it’s even possible and as someone else mentioned, could lead to warranty issues etc...
