Very stiff suspensions
Wow thats great you got your car E634Me. You can pull up the tire pressures and temps on either the right or left display. I'd think the weight would help the car ride better. I do notice a lot of road noise on my car on rough grainy pavement, on smooth pavement the car just seems to glide and feels like my S class. The road quality seems to be everything with these cars.
Put a whopping 5 km or so on the car today. Hotel to city center and back. But tomorrow will be a good day of driving

Came back to where I'd parked the car to find a nice Porsche 911 S next to me but getting ready to pull out. As I was admiring his car he pointed to the E63 and gave me a nice thumbs up and I of course indicated likewise for his car - very nice.
Then as we were sitting in the car a bit later sorting through the first round of souvenirs, we noticed a growing crowd of high school aged boys gathering around the car taking photos. Eventually there were about eight or so. Clearly they were waiting for us to leave to hear the car. We were getting ready to walk back into the center for more shopping but didn't want to disappoint them, so I fired up the car and popped it into sport + and gave them a couple light throttle blips.
Surprising how much attention this car attracts. I really thought most people would think it just another Mercedes, albeit with an interesting paint choice, I guess not.

In reply to the sound system question above, the E63S does not have a disc player but my S65 Burmester 3D does. I was not completely clear, I was using the original discs in the S65 when comparing all 3 formats. In the new E63S I have only used my iPhone as the sound source so far. We are happy we ordered the 3D upgrade.

Drove from Konstanz, Germany to Lucerne, Switzerland and back today. Again we thought the ride quality was pretty good in comfort mode. This time four passengers as before, but with no luggage. The roads were in good condition and this probably contributes to our opinion of the ride.
Even in town where things get a bit bumpier we still didn't think it was bad.
best sound quality should come from lossless recording. Use cd to record lossless format. I’m using iPod direct usb connection, sounds amazing. 900k plus bits sounds better than 128.
I checked the tire pressure today once we got on the road. Warm it was about 40 psi front and 32 psi rear. Outside temps were in the 45 deg F range. I think the tires were reporting they were around 85 deg F or so, but forgot to really take note of that. Adjusting for what they would be cold, I think it seems like these pressures are a little lower than what some others had their cars set to. But this is the way they were set by the Sindelfingen delivery center. I figure if anyone knows how they should be set it must be them

I've never done that before, I'd love to hear that. I don't even have CD drive in my apple laptop, I dunno how I'd do that, wish I could? Maybe a external drive for the Mac computer and then connect my iPhone up to the Mac? It would be great do make some high quality recordings.

For those who are reading this in 2021 and have this issue, it is explained in detail here: https://www.youcanic.com/wiki/merced...ff-bouncy-ride
Sure it is a W221 and not a W213 but the same problem affects both models.

I 100% agree, freeways and windy roads are beautiful. Any suburbs or city with bad roads... is a nightmare. U feel every line, bump and crease, with a whole lot of reverb. On days it sends me nuts to the point I just take out my Toyota camry, and leave the Benz for weekends.
I dare say it the suspension on crap city roads is directly comparable to my 99 Mazda rx7 on apexi coil overs. Except the rx7 hits the bumps, dampens and wheels stay on the road. My E class wiggles left to right as each side wheel must dampen and rebound before it stabilises.
Iv taken the car to a suspension specialist to check if my sway bars, dampers or bushes needed a change, and they found nothing wrong.
