Very stiff suspensions
Put a whopping 5 km or so on the car today. Hotel to city center and back. But tomorrow will be a good day of driving

Came back to where I'd parked the car to find a nice Porsche 911 S next to me but getting ready to pull out. As I was admiring his car he pointed to the E63 and gave me a nice thumbs up and I of course indicated likewise for his car - very nice.
Then as we were sitting in the car a bit later sorting through the first round of souvenirs, we noticed a growing crowd of high school aged boys gathering around the car taking photos. Eventually there were about eight or so. Clearly they were waiting for us to leave to hear the car. We were getting ready to walk back into the center for more shopping but didn't want to disappoint them, so I fired up the car and popped it into sport + and gave them a couple light throttle blips.
Surprising how much attention this car attracts. I really thought most people would think it just another Mercedes, albeit with an interesting paint choice, I guess not.

Drove from Konstanz, Germany to Lucerne, Switzerland and back today. Again we thought the ride quality was pretty good in comfort mode. This time four passengers as before, but with no luggage. The roads were in good condition and this probably contributes to our opinion of the ride.
Even in town where things get a bit bumpier we still didn't think it was bad.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Sure it is a W221 and not a W213 but the same problem affects both models.
I 100% agree, freeways and windy roads are beautiful. Any suburbs or city with bad roads... is a nightmare. U feel every line, bump and crease, with a whole lot of reverb. On days it sends me nuts to the point I just take out my Toyota camry, and leave the Benz for weekends.
I dare say it the suspension on crap city roads is directly comparable to my 99 Mazda rx7 on apexi coil overs. Except the rx7 hits the bumps, dampens and wheels stay on the road. My E class wiggles left to right as each side wheel must dampen and rebound before it stabilises.
Iv taken the car to a suspension specialist to check if my sway bars, dampers or bushes needed a change, and they found nothing wrong.
