Enabling 360 and front camera for parking?

I’ve read through the manual a couple times but haven’t spotted how to enable the 360 camera and front view camera easily for nose in parking.

What I’ve been doing is pulling into the spot 3/4 of the way or so, then popping it into reverse briefly, then back to drive.

Would be nice to be able to turn it on sometimes even as I start to park without having to engage reverse.

The parking spots in Europe are often tighter than in the US, with less turning radius to get into the spots. Also, mainly just wanting to avoid front splitter damage.

The car isn’t big by US standards, but it felt like my motor home in a parking garage yesterday :eek

There is a button on the front right side of the center console that you can press to bring up the camera screen, from there simply rotate the jog control one click and press it and you will have the front camera engaged providing you are going at too fast a rate of speed. This is what I've been doing when I pull up to parking curbs, as soon as I see the curb line up with the yellow line on the screen I stop and when I get out and look it is parked perfectly with the front spoiler lip only inches from the parking curb. Also with taller parking curbs I notice the obstacle alarm goes off in the car, I have it set in settings as Sensitive. Hopefully these precautions will save me and others from destroying our front spoiler.

Thanks,

I dont have the manual with me in the hotel room, but look at the console when I get up in a couple hours (jet lag).

To be clear, you aren’t talking about the parking assist button on the right rear of the console, but rather something different on the same side, but front othe console.

I think it is the furthest back button, a couple buttons behind the exhaust button. All I know is it pulls up the camera screen and from there you can rotate the center jog control to view whatever camera you want assuming you have premium package 3 or 4.

You can create a shortcut and save that camera setting under your favorites.

Then to access quickly press the home button, click down to reveal your favorites and your shortcut will be there.

Not as quick as the W212 favorite buttons but it gets the job done.

On the w212 you could hold down the SYS button to get into Birdseye view immediately

Bummer that it's not as easy to do in the W212... I used it all the time. Thanks for the tip on "favorites"

There’s a module I’m contemplating getting from mid city engineering that activates the 360 at parking speeds automatically... perhaps they’ll come out with a w213 module

Doing as 2012_merc_amg suggested worked fine for me. I was missing the trick of turning the select knob to choose the other options.

Straightforward, one click and a quick twist of the knob to get to the desired view.

Problem solved

Great, I really like the beeper that warns of anything the car might hit. I've to to pretty accurate with parking this car at this point between the beeper and the front camera I find myself with the front Spoiler a few inches behind the curb.
