I took the SLR the Aperta and the E63s out
I took the E63s, the Aperta and the SLR out with some friends to the canyons and the Sunet Granturismo GT car show this am.
All I can say is the E63 is faster in a straight line to 100 than both cars and easily handles better than the SLR. After 100 both cars easily pull on the E63 but that’s still an amazing accomplishment from a sedan!
Turn in is crisp and then it just grips and grips! The SLR has a much better ride due to its very stiff chassis but feels pretty heavy compared to the E63 and Aperta. The SLR needs more tire in the rear. The stock setup loses traction every time on power even if your pretty gentle with the throttle. That supercharger whine is amazing though and it was one of the stars of the show. One of the most beautiful and timeless car designs ever.
The Aperta is just an amazing car. Beautiful noise, great ride and the acceleration is terrific once it hooks up the rears. That car just handles like a true super car. Just so easy to explore the limits of the car.
It was a great day with 3 amazing cars and the E63 never felt out of place or off pace with 2 super cars.
