Just got my e63. Miserable rattle on passenger side. Exhaust is too quite. Help :(
The car looks amazing inside and out but the ride is a bit stiffer then I hoped.
I also opted for the acoustic comfort package and performance exhaust options.
I feel that from inside this car, you barley hear the exhaust. Coming out of an AMG gt which yells like an animal, this e63 is too subtle....... it makes you crave a simulated sound inside the cabin (is this even possible on these cars, artificial speaker played exhaust sounds?). Anyone else feel like there is barley any exhaust roar heard from the inside cabin when driving at low rpms, it would be nice to hear some more exhaust sounds while driving at low rpms.
Additionally im having a terrible viration sound / rattle coming from my passenger side, this rattle is only heard over rough roads and is driving me nuts. Anyone exeriencing this too?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated here !

That said. It took me hours to find out where the fuse map is. ** Hint it is not in the Manual or under the fuse covers.
Its in the trunk "passenger side" under the big felt cover, to the left of the fusebox - its a folded piece of paper that you have to slide out

But for the sake of science, I shall grab the wife's hair dryer and test the outcome. (PS setting 2 will be used and no seats will be harmed in this experiment)
The rattle sounds like a vibration sound coming from passenger seatbelt or door panel. It is only heard on rough roads, causing the most annoying sounds.
It was not the seatbelt hitting the seat as I dont have performance seats. Id hate to bring this car to a dealer and lose it for a week, only for them to tell me they cant find it. Im going nuts.
Also the exhaust on this car does not feel like an AMG, its tooooo quite in any of the modes. I kind of wish the cabin had simulated sound from the speakers as i want some roaring at low rpms too.

So, if you find the exhaust note quite quiet, give that a try.

Under WOT the E63S is very loud with the performance exhaust as indicated in the VIR Lightning Lap DB tests; it test the loudest of all cars in the test areas. So its loud, but probably not as loud inside.
Here are the VIR tests results:

I really don't think it is feeding back any audio into the cabin through the speaker system as I had people sitting in all corners front and rear listening to it and the consensus was no, nothing coming from the speakers.
