Brake shudder problem

Brake shudder problem

My E63 is suffering from bad brake shudder when slowing down with moderate brake pedal pressure. Anyone else experience this? Will rebedding the brakes help or should I schedule a trip to the dealer?

I’m a BMW M car convert and never experienced this on a street car before.

Which brakes and how many miles on the car?

Other than rebedding I don’t have any suggestions, but curious about whether they are steel or CCBs.

Brake shudder???

You cant have more than 3000 miles and they are pulsating???

you need to take it in and they will likely replace the rotors

however you need to add more details on your issue

Yes, apologies, more details would help. I have the iron brakes, 4,000 miles of street driving, no track.
The front brakes are shuddering when slowing from anywhere above 45mph under normal braking. Steering wheel moves side to side just a bit and the whole car shakes just enough to **** you off. Classic symptoms of a warped rotor or excessive pad material transfer onto the rotor.

Because of your mileage they will replace the rotors and rebed the brakes and youll be good to go

I shudder to think this could be an issue at such low mileage on these cars, heck even the chevy Malibu I'm renting right now has 29k miles on it and the brakes are smooth as silk.

Looks like that’s the way to go, I appreciate the responses. I may beat on it today and get the brakes nice and hot. Nothing to lose. The car has been relatively good otherwise, knocking on my head.
