Hey everyone. I have a little rant and I hope that’s ok on this thread. I’m a current AMG e63 estate owner, purchased new, European delivery, 74k miles on my wagon. It’s currently in the shop for a CEL and oil leak. They gave me a GLA 35 “AMG” and it’s absolutely not an AMG. My whole family is calling it the mazdercedes. Because it feels so much like a Mazda. It has AMG badging everywhere, the steering wheel, engine cover, rear hatch, along with fake carbon fiber inlays and plastic (maybe rubber) that looks like leather on the dash and doors.
This loaner car has a 70k MSRP but feels like a Hyundai. We were following one home and my wife was like - “That’s the same car as this lol”
Soooo, my point is this. This car is making me hate Mercedes for diluting the AMG brand so much… anyone else feel this way or am I totally going overboard!?
I know that if I posted this in the “regular” AMG threads I would offend many. But let’s be real, if someone didn’t sign your engine, you got a fake AMG.

Yup, it is a fake amg, it is for those who want more horsepower than a GLA 250 and the badge i guess, I am saying this even though I have a C 43.
That said 70K is ridiculous I remember that car started like 50K, inflation really pulled things up.
I personally do like mazda, especially the CX-90 and the inline-6, real materials, real buttons, rotating knob, for the price and what you get is surprising, so I won't be joining the bash mazda bandwagon.

Actually scratch that, it started at 40K-45K back then.
Actually, since the rant started, I wish my C 43 stayed being a C 450, I really could careless about the amg badge on a fake amg. Cheaper insurance too
Reason I didn't get the C 63 S back in 2017 was because I live in Canada with pretty much 3 seasons of snow and I hate garage queens, so the 4MATIC was good to have. I didn't pick E 63 S because it was too big for my needs.

Added Vossen 20" wheels, carbon ceramic brake swap, catless downpipes, PTG tunes, lowered, BMC filters. pick up day! PA1 interior trip across country begins! heavy rain most of the way! Ccb swap Ccb swap new look with ccb and wheels Downpipes with PTG tunes with wifeys Turbo S

@I.T. Guy show us yours again, you did so many mods ever since you first posted yours on this thread half a year ago or might even had been one full year, oh boy time flies.

Yeah that is a nice upgrade for a 2018. They switched to that wheel in the E63 for the 2019 and 2020 MY, then changed again for the facelift. I think it's the best wheel AMG has put in a car, shame they used it for such a short period of time.
Today was drive like I’m 17 day lol. Poor car got thrashed all day Race-started everyone that looked at me and pretty much at every stop. Even noncar people got an earful of staccato rev limiter. It all started with a Honda civic. **** you Honda and after that oh well, I was in a mood.
