New build
If I were to order a new E63 which dealer in California would be easiest to deal for a discount on an ordered car? My dealer gives me great discounts on in stock inventory but always msrp deals on ordered product.
Also at what point should I place the order for the car for it to be delivered as a 2019 model?
Thanks any help would be appreciated!

I apologize but can’t disclose anything at this point. My car is a regular old jet black E63s and not an ED1 although it does seem like it has the same software as the earlier builds.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I had a great experience in dealing with Santa Rosa, although I guess that's a ways away from you, they get really good reviews. I'd think you'd be able to get at least 6 or 7 percent off on a ordered car.

Are you talking SoCal only? I just went through this with 6 or 7 dealers up in the Bay Area on an ordered e63 wagon. PM me and happy to give you some intel on what I found if you're interested in the trek (or just looking for some pricing info).
As for the 2019MY question, my dealer said the rollover to 2019MY for AMGs happens a little later than non-AMG, probably July/Aug. They expected my order to be a 2018 - probably a April / May build - still awaiting an allocation.

If someone local to the bay area can offer me 6-7% off MSRP for an ordered car, that'd be amazing...

I did not buy my car from them, but dealt with them with other things. I got 6 percent off my car in the north east. I have a friend who has a wagon on order and he is getting ten percent off although he will not tell me who he ordered the car with. I dunno though, if there is that much of a difference between the east coast and the west coast might be worth it to fly in and do a little cross country trip, plus that would break the car in quicker, like in a couple of days or so.

Wow, that's awesome. Maybe the Bay Area is just a bit of a different market? I had a multiple dealers tell me nothing below MSRP, and some moved a little below that. Not even close to 6/7%. I had a colleague go to a dealership, test drive a e63 sedan, and the dealer wanted $5K over sticker. Probably just posturing, but still...
10% has got to be a major outlier!

Ya, I was amazed at the ten percent on a new ordered AMG Wagon, my buddy is definitely telling the truth, just hard to imagine, I did not know the dealer could even turn a profit with ten percent off a ordered AMG, I guess on the west coast they know they can get it around msrp as the demand is greater.

I would like 8% off an ordered car as I can get 8 to 10% off on an inventory car.

I would be willing to do any California dealer and I can have it picked up. I would like to stay in CA as some dealers will not lease a car out of state and if they do it’s a pain in the a**. This again would be my DD under my company that’s why the lease.

Thanks Vic,
I would be happy with 8% but the dealers I usually work with ( I am sure you know who I am talking about ) are at MSRP on an allocation and others I do not work with are at 5 to 6% off.
I can get and ED1 today for 8% off but the build date is July so I am staying away from that.... Plus Lunar blue is what I want on this car.

6% is strong on an order car... because that car is only for you and lunar blue is not going to sell to the masses. If you cancelled on them lets say, they would not want to be stuck with LB. While its a great color here on the boards, its not an ideal seller if I was the retailer. I would take the 6% and run with it.
