Fast Cars!
Is that factory? Looks like the same one I had in my GT3 that was OEM Porsche.

Yes

it’s all factory. Three separate parts. The metal bracket for the seat, the plastic extinguisher holder bracket is screwed to that and the extinguisher itself...

Here you go

metal bracket mount to underneath seat

A 205 868 01 12 left side bracket
A 205 868 02 12 right side bracket

4 mounting screws for bracket

N 000000 002349

pick the side that works for you...

the plastic bracket that screws to the metal under seat bracket which holds the extinguisher

A 000 860 33 14

and 2 matching screws come with the bracket (parts should know)

the extinguisher itself

A 000 860 33 80

There you go...

I've had fire extinguishers in all the cars I track, not for myself but in case another car is on fire and someone in it needs help.

If my car is on fire I'm out of there and insurance can deal with it.

Well, I never track without track insurance. Nothing will slow you more, other than the fear of injury/death, that the thought in the back of your mind that a mistake could cost you $100-$200k.

But even without insurance, if there's a fire in your car, just get out of there, it's just not worth taking a chance. Plus all HPDE have a fire crew at the track that will do a better job and probably get there just as fast as the driver being in an accident with their car on fire and fumbling around with a fire extinguisher. Most people (not referring to the op) really only do it because it looks neat, there's a recent thread about it on RL: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...inguisher.html

A couple years ago..

one of the people at a track day had an Audi that melted and I mean melted all 4 brakes after a few laps... the smoke and small flames were painful to watch. Thankfully all was ok and the only thing bruised and battered was a wallet and ego...

Thats why I keep it... for nothing else... Cars can be replaced. I can’t....

Used to have factory fire extinguishers on all our MB's in Germany, driver side though. One is required to help in case of accidents so it felt good to have. Also had the mandatory warning triangle in the trunk...
