Malfunction Alert this morning - Air Ride Body Control related
During my morning commute today I received the dreaded malfunction alert, which according to the information display is related to the Air Ride Body Control system.
The alert instructed me not to exceed 50 MPH.
Called service and will be taking the car in in an hour or so.
Car seems to ride normally, and reacts as expected to switching between various modes from Comfort to Race. It does not, however, react to the body raise button.
Turning the car off and back on has no effect on the alert.

Sounds like the issue I had on my wagon months ago, the next day after sitting overnight the alert didn't come upon start up but still took it to the dealership:

It's been fine since they fixed it, now at over 3400 miles on the car. Hope they are quick to fix the issue, keep us posted.

Sitting at the dealership now.
Of course when I got in the car to leave for the dealership an hour or so later, the error had cleared itself. Everything was fine during the 8 to 10 mile drive to the dealer.
They'll pull up the logs and have a look. Hopefully that will have some useful data.

The dealer is ordering a new module, presumably the ABC module. They went ahead and did a prophylactic software update to the module just to make sure it was on the latest code.
As the error had cleared and the car seemed drivable, they sent me home with the car and will let me know when the replacement module comes in. The drive back to my office was uneventful, so fingers crossed that the malfunction error doesn't pop up again before the new part arrives.
On the bright side, the carbon fibre trim piece above the passenger side 4matic+ logo had a broken post on the tail end and needed to be replaced. The dealer had put that part on order last week and it arrived today, so they were able to replace that part while I was waiting. So, killed two birds with one stone I guess.

I'm following in your footsteps, and getting on the flight this afternoon to head to Stuttgart. My kids might be more excited than I am... I'll post pics.
Good luck with your current issues.

Safe trip, I'm sure your delivery and trip are going to be great. If you and your kids have as much fun as we did, it will be the memory of a lifetime.

I did a nice canyon run and a freeway drive home with no repeat of the alert ...
I had a similar event a week ago. The light persisted through several restarts but was gone the next morning. Brought the car in for service and they replaced the air suspension control module.
Bring it in. Let them throw parts at it. Fingers crossed hoping the problem doesn't return.
