Honest E63S Wagon 'feeler' Thread
And it looks like the OP sold car fast at $115k, seems my assumption is correct. For a no wait, super nice and clean car with a few $ks for film/coating, why NOT buy it and save $10-15 over a brand new one? I would.
A few years down - the difference gets bigger. Wagons hold their value much better than sedans, and sell faster.
And to OP - sorry for you - but in the end - "happy wife = happy life!"
And congrats on a great sales process!
Sedans seem to be moving quicker from my autotrader followings and craigslist checks lol

I gave him a dealer trade scenario- I know the OP well and his private sale made all the sense to your points about the extra products that a dealer would not give on an acv in trade.
I ended up going last year of the W212 versus first year of the W213 mainly for reliability reasons. I tend to keep cars a bit longer (4-6 years) so that matters (to me).
Anyhow - apologies if I insulted you - that was not my intent.
All you guys know is what I was asking for it.
Normally I wouldn't say what my stuff sells for but since I did create a value thread for it I guess I ought to.
And I will as soon as the transaction is 100% complete, including what I originally paid and what the trade in offers were ... I just don't think it's appropriate at this juncture.

Every data point I saw in my year long search points to the opposite. Nice wagons went fast. Similarity equipped and priced sedans sit longer. partly because they are many more of them and there is a limited number of used car buyers looking for a $50-100k car.

I know. Sorry - I think we cross referenced statements wrong - not my intent.
You didnt insult me, sorry if I came across that way. I 100% agree with your depreciation curve of the wagons vs sedans too over 2 plus years in the model cycle. I had a 2012 E63 Wagon and lost money on it because I dumped it after 5 months but I just checked Manheim on the 2014 Estates vs Saloons and its clearly a 10k gain for the Estate (averages of course).
Serge will let you know what his car sold for but its not what ebay stated. (as he just posted)
