Have you ever ear about Google translate... Why insulting french people, I did receive last year a ticket only in english to my french country for using a speedpass highway in NewYork state without the registration plate number. Should I start new thread title Stupid English American (Stupide Americain Anglais) in French community forums ??? No because that will be so stupid.

Quebec is primary french, the only one in the continent and you want to disrespect it ? Civil code here is clear, french language preval here no english legal documents is necessary, saying otherwise is misleading MBWorld readers

You do realize that which you are complaining about you yourself are displaying; even after I and gaspam tried to explain. Do you consider your position unbiased and ours biased? It seems to me that you are uncomfortable with anything and anybody that doesn't represent your views. Is there any room for a compromise?
I do know that when Quebec tried to secede from Canada and form its own country it failed. Could it be because the rest of the majority thought it would be best to stay instead of not. What benefits did all those other french speaking voters see; in conjunction with some of those english voters that didn't side with the proposed referendum.

No problem for me. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Its called free speech. Is that not practiced where you live? Afterall you live in a country belonging to the UK, de facto with the Queen as its figure head, and not France, a country that allows you your freedom of language/culture. You drive a German car and not a French one. That shows me you're international. Am I wrong?
Look at the French World Cup team and its integration. Players from all countrys with different believes, up bringings, etc. That's integration of cultures. Do you represent this with your continued adherence? IMHO; NO!

The guy is upset about americans calling french people stupid which seems entirely reasonable to me.
You then go and pick a fight because he made an error and called his province a country. His first language is clearly not english, so give him a break.
I doubt many on here would be relaxed if a french guy started a thread about stupid americans.
Rather than pissing on the french guy standing up for his heritage, maybe condemn your fellow posters for being ignorant or stupid themselves.
Why can't we all just get along without all this teenage drama that would never happen in person.

So sensitive people get. The heading I used was based on my frustration that I could not understand what or how much the fine was on the ticket since I do not speak French. Yes, the French are proud of their heritage, but they are also one of the most stubborn people to display it. Most countries that I have visited (I've already had to send in my passport to the State Dept to add pages) the people can somewhat understand English or at least make an effort. Not the French- hence the apathy for the French people. In certain contexts "Stupid American" applies to us here. I just laugh it off and move on. Anyways I paid my 45 Euro fine and can now safely return to FranceLand. I will tell you since this is a car forum my favorite European country is Germany since it is the birth of our E63's and it is home to the wonderful Autobahn system. Gosh wouldn't it be nice if some of our "Stupid Americans" would learn how to drive properly that we could potentially have the same system here.

dont call something racist when you dont even know what race is..
if you said americans are stupid, you wouldnt be being racist either (since we are multi-racial people just like french are) , you would be bigoted or possibly xenophobic, but not racist..... learn what racism is before you throw the word around

I use the "pocket GPS World" database on a SD card that goes into my Comand unit -- if I got pulled over I'd just pop it out and stick it in my pocket.
Apparently they also measure your times between toll gates.....
