Stupid French
Just received what looks like a speeding ticket in the mail. This from our Europe trip one month ago. My first inclination is to write- "No English, No Money!" and return it back to them.

Seriously. I thought speed limits didn’t apply when you’re on vacation.
I use Waze in France and it will warn of the speed zones. Bummer!

Pay the ticket and move along. You have a good story for cocktail hour now.

ha ha... yeah... and English is not their official language. Kinda surprising there would be any confusion on the matter. I almost got a ticket while descending in the Alps around Chamonix... as the motorcycle police pulled up behind me he decided to wave-over the BMW that was trailing me through the curves in the speed trap. PHEW!

Well, it tells you when you are entering a speed zone on the Autoroute. As you know, there are posted signs too on the highway. So basically just tells you, "you are getting close to a speed zone" - sort of an additional warning to the signage. But I haven't noticed the type of "speed trap" warning that we get in the US.
I got 2 tickets last year...
driving out to Normandy from Paris. I only know this because of the surcharges my car rental company sent me for €20 each... I never did receive any tickets in the mail and my Family over there never told me about them, and I asked for months lol. I guess either they took care of them or I’ll find out next time I go back...
What about try Google translate? Might give you some answers.
+1 for Google Translate.
I get a lot of correspondence in many different languages and Google Translate is great time saver. The app will also scan and translate using your phone's camera.
You can also scan to pdf and use something like Adobe Acrobat to OCR the document so you can cut and paste in to Google Translate.

And i read/speak french. It's pretty fuzzy to read but i think you were 29km/h over in a 50km/h zone. sound right?
And it's called photo radar, yes it is an automated system that measures your speed without a human and egads, no warning!
Do cops in your area give you a nice comfy warning before tagging you on radar? lol

No big deal. You should pay if you plan to visit France anytime soon and plan to drive. Otherwise it will be a costly endeavor.
Here is the website you need to visit. It's in english as well. Tickets are usually pretty cheap and if you rented the car you will also get another bill from the rental company for admin fees (payment for having to provide to personal data to the police)
https://amendes.gouv.fr/portail/index.jsp?lang=en
Just enter the requested number and pay up..

Seriously Ashraf, get that taken down! With a profile name like yours, your profession is easy to figure out (wink wink), do you really want all of us trolls leaving you bad reviews online for speaking ill of the friendly french folk ?

Thanks for all your help. I figured it out from their website. 45 euro fine, not too bad. Good news I can return to France again.
Phew, for one moment I thought the Frenchies would have to send the Foreign Legion after you. It would look pretty bad on the news to see your rendition to France. Those guys don't joke. I've seen them in the movies...
