2018 AMG E63S lease up for lease-assumption

The killer on the M5CP is the current 10% drop in residual over M5's in stock. From the sounds of it there really isn't a big difference in performance except that the CP is better on the track and rides a bit more like the E63s (stiffer, less comfortable)...
IMO, AMG GT 4 door only if the price is right or the M8. After seeing the M850i I like the front, dislike the rear... Either way, both cars are out a bit...

You might be right. Even if their respective MSRPs are close or closer, the AMG's lease deals are unlikely to rival BMWs based on past experience. However, if the M5 is representative of the new norm (and not just the result of initial demand) then perhaps we've seen the last of those cheap-BMW-lease days.

In regards to leases, BMW is focused on volume and seems fine with taking a hit on their M cars/7 series. It will get offset by SUV margins.
The residual drop is unusual but the M5 launch was funky timing. After all it was only a 4 months or so build cycle for MY18.
Locally, there is a supply of M5’s at a discount while E63’s are barely available.

Curious to see how BMW will handle the 8 series. Hard to believe that people will spend $20-30k more than the 6 series.

Agreed wrt/ BMW's sales model and on the 6er comparison--I guess it'll depend in part just how good it looks in the flesh. The prototype was beautiful.

Excess is relative to usage, so subjective... but I get your point. Mostly folks take my leases because of low lease rate, some like the mods, too, but not everyone so I remove them in those cases.

A few folks commented that the remaining mileage was too low so I'm in the process of adding 8,000 more lease-term miles which nets just over 1,000 / month for the remaining lease term.
If you're interested and have a question or a proposal, just PM me... I'm willing to negotiate (to a point ).

I've added a $3,000 incentive which brings the monthly lease payment to $1,727.62 before usage tax. The car's MSRP is $126,205 so it's pretty well optioned and has $4,000 in aftermarket "Night Package"-like aesthetic mods. See post #1 for the details and the SwapAlease.com link--here's post #1: https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7522222
Note, I decided to put the money I was planning to use to buy extra lease mileage into an incentive instead--the idea being that some folks don't need more than 800 miles per month but obviously prefer a lower monthly payment. I guess we'll see.

2018 AMG E63S for $1470 per month
I'm including a $10,000 cash incentive which brings the monthly lease payment to $1,470.00 before usage tax.
- MSRP is $126,205
- $4,000 in aftermarket "Night Package"-like aesthetic mods included
- 4 x brand new Michelin Pilot SuperSports @265/35/20 and 295/30/20
- See post #1 for the details and the SwapAlease.com link--here's post #1: https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7522222

No, unfortunately the E63 fell through for me because of blahblahblah, and I went with the Volvo, a V90 CC T6, loaded. To give you a sense, the buy out is now around $56-57k (I only "paid" $59k on the lease, on a $70k MSRP), but Carmax type offers are in the low $40k's. I'd have to eat $13-14k to buy it out of the lease and sell it.

Can you not sell the lease as I am?

Unfortunately not. Volvo’s leasing arm has a strict no transfer policy. It’s a bummer too because it’s a good car at a good lease rate. I just want to love my ride!!
EDIT - to say that if I had a family member or close friend whom I could trust, I could simply give the car to them and have them make the payments. But I have no such people who need a car at the moment.
