Hi all,

I'm not really comfortable posting my VIN just yet, but I had a few questions regarding a car I ordered. The dealership has not been much help. I ordered this car in Oct of 2022 with an estimated build date of Jan 2023. From what I can tell and from what the dealership has told me, the car is done being built but it is waiting for a ship. Can anyone here help me figure this out? My last lease has just ended and I have no car, so I've just been Ubering around. They offered to extend my lease, but I don't want to pay on the old car, I just want to new one!

The last few events were all "Prepare for Delivery" and then "Remove Freeze Date" repeated over and over.

EDIT: I do have a seemingly valid VIN, but I'm not sure I have a PO#, at least not one I can see from the pictures I have that the salesperson took.

You will (should) have a PO. If you have a factory allocation, you have a PO. Ask your salesman or sales manager for it. It might be called different things depending on what system they're looking at: Order Number, Production Number, Commission Number, etc. Also, the friendly people monitoring this thread can access US-vehicle data only (although judging by your VPC you're fine!)

It appears I have two VINs and did get some kinda Order Number. I texted my salesperson, but they're out of the office until next week Friday (COVID).

The VIN 1 is some sort of "working VIN", I had one at one point too. Your real vin is VIN 2. This is good though. Let's see what the kind folks report back!

If you go to https://mb.vin and enter the vin number, you can see details. Id#, model, order#, engine#, trans#, color, interior, production# and lastly the DELIVERY DATE in your case it's blank as of today. Once it is populated in the exterior, 360 view and interior you see the car.

The decoder on this site under "tools" above, is good to but this one is excellent for the info you are looking for.

My lifestyle is sort of a GLC RWD guy. But Enjoy Your AMG Once It Arrives.!!

My PO# showed up, the vehicle is on a ship arriving the first week of July at the VPC in Baltimore.

Probably came in on another carrier. My PO never showed up either and my salesman was useless for additional info, but my car showed up at the dealership on time.

I'm not sure if this page is still being looked at, but I put my VIN into https://mb.vin and it showed the details of my build, including a delivery date.
What exactly is the delivery date? To the port?
My car is scheduled to be on a '5/28 boat', according to the dealer, but the delivery date shows as 4/30. So assuming that's port delivery?
I went to https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com / Track & Trace / CUST REF NUMBER and searched by VIN, Order # and Production #, the latter two listed on the MB VIN page, and all came back with NO RESULT.
Possible this isn't showing up because the boat is too far out? Or am I just using the wrong numbers?
Any thoughts?
