I really hope this is all resolved and everyone is getting deliveries before my build date. Really do not want to wait, and I hope I get my car in February.
My SA just called me to update on me on status. He said the West-Coast Regional Rep told him "All E63's are slated for December release, but we are hoping for November." Not much in the way of news, but I figured I would nevertheless report back.
No updates from my SA - but I did stumble upon this, wearing MFR tags - manufactures plate, not even dealer plates. Any ideas why, when delivery of inventory cars should be in few weeks?

CLS450s were released today to be delivered to dealerships. At least in the US.

What does that mean re manufacturer plates? Ive never seen that before....
MFR plates mean a corporate car for demo purposes - likely will not be a inventory car. Not sure how long they have had it for though - that is Brampton Mercedes - our hood @ Mayur999

Guys, quick question, at what point in the order process do you get your VIN? I have a December build, scheduled for estimated January delivery but my dealer hasn't provided a VIN yet. Is that something they would have already? They've just shown me a PO # for the car. Thanks!

...and my SA emailed me yesterday also. Same statement -- will be released in Dec. No mention of any earlier dates. I will be watching for the MB Christmas commercials to see if one of Santa's Reindeer is driving my car....

CLS prices are up (releasing soon as PertPlus mentioned), I posted in those forums.. 450 and 53's... 53's arent that much more really..do love the new inline six when I dove it

C43? yea, November..I spoke to distribution about it on Monday for C43's... sedans anyways.. I'd assume coupes and cabs as well.. (US built vs European)
any idea when new C63s are out? I'm trading in my c63s and I was hoping to trade it prior to the new ones coming out, but since I have to wait for E63s I doubt it.

Trade it in now, carry tax savings over for when you receive the E63 - rent or borrow in between - this is what I did.
How long can the tax savings count? I have another car so that wouldn't be an issue.
EDIT: In Texas and you're in CA so will see if I can look it up.
Talk to your dealer and SA, but for me, I did a sell through to a Porsche dealer using my Mercedes dealer. Same principle applies to a trade. This was done in July, and the tax savings will be applied when I close the deal on the E63 (when car arrives to the dealer in Nov-Dec).

Thanks for idea. I just spoke to my dealer and I can trade in the car now and keep the tax credit for up to 1 year. So rather than the car sitting and losing value, I can trade in now. Will get it appraised and probably trade in early.

Yeah common practice, and the reason why I sold my car in the summer, when people are excited; out shopping for a red 2 door sports car.

Any word on the 53s? My dealer is offering me a loaner until the 53s are delivered, very grateful for the offer!
