Talked to my SA today. Basically got the same speech from the regional rep. But the wrinkle was that it was blamed on the certification issue. There was some comment about regulatory scrutiny and also that they were flashing the car's software to try to address emissions and efficiency standards. But frankly sounded like the regional rep is just reading our musings on this board rather than any actual information. No new EOs.

Can you hint if it leans more on the “good news” side versus the “bad news” side?

I hope it’s good news. At this point I hate MBUSA, simply for their honesty. Inches away from pulling the M5 trigger

saw a local M5 with the carbon/black roof the other day it looked pretty mean. Was surprised. Really hoping these cars get released between end of nov first week of dec. I am carless once again, brand new SVR I picked up had the rear controller arm snap off while driving, at 1500 miles odometer yesterday. Gonna most likely have a lemon case on my hand with that, just hoping the E63 will be trouble free at this point! Not sure I can deal with two lemons

Just passed an auto carrier with 3 new G550s en route to the dealer I presume...

Fingers crossed for some good news on our E63s soon....

My salesman told me today several G550s 19s arrived today, ahead of schedule. Can't confirm that will happen with E.

The EO for the G 550 just was released last week, although it was signed on the 12th of October. So seems pretty fast.

Never been so excited for November to roll around - hopefully we see our E's in week 3 or 4 of this month, but even if we do not, December is that much closure now. Stay patient lads!

What software update is this? Does it affect all cars or certain engines?

I dont know or think that it affects all cars. This was an issue mentioned in the thread a few weeks ago, that the 43s were waiting some software update etc. Still appears to be the case in Canada at least and thats been the hold up for release and further delay now. The CLS, S, G have all been released on time, so I dont think its something affecting all cars.

Seems like it. These are the cars with the same engine:

Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S
Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63 S
Mercedes-AMG S63
Mercedes-AMG GLC63 and GLC63 S
Mercedes-AMG GT63 and GT63 S 4-Door
Aston Martin DB11 V8
Aston Martin Vantage

So query what is different about the e63 and c63. Is it a gas mileage rating issue (versus emissions)?

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported October sales of 27,537 Mercedes-Benz models, a decrease of 4.9% from October 2017. Mercedes-Benz Vans reported best-ever October of 4,182 units (up 71.0%) and smart reported 95 units, bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 31,814 vehicles for the month (up 0.9%). On a year-to-date basis, sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles totaled 252,921, with an additional 32,205 units for Vans and 1,054 vehicles for smart, bringing the sales volume to 286,180, a decrease of 5.1% from last year.

“With increased availability of our MY2019 models over the past weeks, we expect continued momentum in the final months of the year,” said Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of MBUSA.

Mercedes-Benz volume leaders in October included the GLC, C-Class and E-Class model lines. The GLC took the lead at 5,649, followed by C-Class sales of 5,581. The E-Class rounded out the top three with 4,186 units sold.

October sales of Mercedes-AMG high-performance totaled 1,000 units, with 21,738 vehicles sold year-to-date.
