My 2019 S560 Cab arrived in Baltimore last week. I was told this morning by my dealer that he has been told it will be released sometime in early October.

I’m hoping we’ll get the E63S with plenty of time to go shopping for Thanksgiving Dinner?

Shahul, since you seem to much more helpful than who I ordered my E53 from in Florida, I ordered Black Nappa with Red Stitching Code 851and have yet to see the photo description. One I dug out of Google a few days ago had solid red arm rests and leg supports. Have you seen an actual photo for such in 19?
Please? I am getting nowhere from my guy.

A few more CARB approvals today, SL63, SL550, SLC300. Looks like generally on schedule with the original post. Will be interesting to see the release timing of the S63 and SL63. Both have CARB approval but are slated for Mid-Q4, which would be Nov, and both before the E63s. If they get released early, probably a good sign for the E63s.

Love the Panny ST—but it would need to be a Turbo to be comparable in performance...and then the cost differential gets too rich for my blood.

It also feels good to know there is forward progress on releases when your car is sitting at the VPC and has been for over a month. Totally admit that this is more of an exercise to appease my lack control / influence in all this as well =)

It's more to track and anticipate the accuracy of the originally posted time frame then anything specific to CARB & E63s. I think CARB approvals provide (and have provided) good guidance to what is upcoming for release, and I'm extrapolating (assumption here), that if models (not e63s) are being released ahead of schedule then there is a greater likelihood of the e63s being released earlier (since there is no feasible reason to delay them in my mind). Thus I'm focused on the S560 release and then the S63 release.

CARB approval is only needed to sell in Cali. 90% of the power equipment I buy clearly states non-CARB compliant. CARB compliant small engines don’t run worth ****. I understand MB doesn’t want to release if they aren’t CARB, since Cali is probably one of their larger markets.

If last year is any indication, my first week of January Wagon with CCB build ended up being a first week of April build after delays.

CARB approval is needed each model year for a "family" of models that share an engine. For example, this is last years that covers the E63S. Scroll down to see the 2018 models this one approval covers. But whether or not the family changes, a new "Executive Order" is needed each year.
