Anyone using the renntech tune yet?
im new to the forums here but ive been really interested in getting a tune, and was wondering what others experience is with the renntech. The sales rep i talked to said it will not void my mb warranty, and will be just as reliable. I was also going to get the air filters and BOV kit. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated

It won't void your warranty across the board. However, as jkob5 mentioned, it will void your power train warranty. So if your power windows go out, the factory warranty is still valid and the dealer will fix it. But if your check engine light comes on, say for a misfire on cylinders 1 and 6, you're likely screwed.

I have driven with my friends 18 E63s that has renntech tune, catted downpipes, and BOV. Very fast car, has hit 10.84, routinely gets 11.0 in hot weather. The rep is incorrect though, it can absolutely void your warranty, powertrain warranty, even if a dealer does the install. Research this some more prior to buying it.

Make it a 1/3 mile race and see what happens. Better yet, add in a few corners.

with this cylinder 1,6 issue out there I would be real hesitant to tune until an official fix is out
