E63 rare?

I do not know if its just me. But I have only seen 4 E63 in all of 2018 ever since release in NYC. My commute to work is pretty wild as it, seeing Ferrari's, lambo, and a few other crazy cars. I know with the whole issue alot of people faced on here with their car sitting, because Mercedes were not releasing them. But still surprised I dont see these that often. Were these limited per dealer, or there were not that many sold to begin with.

I have seen the same white one on the Grand Central Parkway just ripping it by, around the same time I head to work. I have only seen one wagon in the green, but besides that have not seen any wagons.

2018 W213 E 63 S AMG Sedan
Yeah, I made a post about this that I don't have the numbers to prove it, but I feel like I see way more M5s compared to E63s. Probably because BMWs lease better.

I agree with this, I have seen over 10 m5 since they were released. Its a shorter time period too which is surprising.

2022 4 Runner Pro, supercharged and lifted Lime Rush, 2018 E63s wagon Edition 1
I live in South Orange County, CA and so far, I've seen one white M5 and one black satin M5. I have seen only one E63S Selenite Gray Metallic sedan and zero wagons (besides mine.) These cars are very expensive and only a few car enthusiasts are willing to shell out the bucks for this kind of performance. I say this because I have seen plenty of BMW sedans and MB sedans, including a few wagons that are of the lesser performance variety.

For W213 I've seen 2 wagons and 2 sedans while driving in my E63 since taking delivery and I just clocked 2k miles on my car. 1 wagon I saw on the way home from from Euro when I picked the car up (coincidence), the other 3 sightings (wagon + both sedans) have been in greenwich, ct. All sightings this month.

saw a W212 wagon yesterday on 95N but i am not counting that lol

Just expensive car and freaking fast, most people are using cars just to ride between A and B points.

I've seen about 5 (+1 mine) sedans and 2 wagons but still have not seen M5.

I have seen some pretty rare cars a few times. I have seen the 3 different aston martin one-77 this year, which is extremely rare. But it feels good knowing that it isnt a common super saloon at the end, compared to the M5 and the audi s5.

I have seen way more E63S's than M5's and Im in the BMW capital of the world (well maybe both LOL).

The E63S's have been on hold for quite some time at the port via EPA certification so of course there are less out there. But here comes the mother load as all the big players (I live by 2 of the largest stores in the US) and they have their batches in. While the E63S's collected dust at the VPC's the M5's all got delivered.

A rare car is a La Ferrari, 918, P1, Bugatti, etc... our sedans are not that and are still what are considered normal production cars. Location plays a role in how much one will see a car or not.

I’m all for facts! What are the annual sales stats for M5’s and E63’s? I’m in the UK and don’t see either much and location definitely plays a big part, but I always wonder as I actually see more supercars than either of those ‘production models’

Thinking about it, if we are talking ‘production’ in the UK, the RS6 is the most common in my area, there are at least 3 in my town alone!

skoda octavia MkII 2.0
agree. would like to see also sales stats for these cars.

for what i see from people reporting across the world, the E63S is a rare car, if you consider that a normal/mass production car selling globally only at a low 4 digit units per year (my estimation) is rare.

2018 E63 AMG S, 2016 Porsche 911 GTS Coupe
I've only seen two others this past year here in Houston. One was a wagon which was getting a lot of attention at a PCA meet even though it wasn't a Porsche. I think delivery issues with cars held at port as well as delays on specific options like the HUD have made them few and far between. I've seen more S63s than I have 213 E63s.

So far I’ve only seen one other 2018 E63S in North County San Diego myself, but my wife and kids spotted a black 2018 picking up at my daughter’s high school. So we know there are at least a few around.

Have seen a handful of pre-2018 E63s running around.

2018 E63S
I've seen four other w213 e63s over the past year. A white one, two matte grey ones, and an edition one...all sedans. I've seen a wagon in person, but was at a dealership for sale. I've seen two m5s in the past month or so. I don't expect to see a ton of either, as these cars don't really make sense. But I love em!

Only ever saw 1 918 in the wild probably 2-3 years ago. was a guy and his small son. was very surprised he even had it out on a main interstate like that with the conditions of the roads we have here in NE.

In regards to M5's I've only seen 2 on the roads as well here in NE, but they can easily be mistaken for 530's so maybe I missed a few...lol

W213 AMG 2019 E63S Wagon
I feel lucky in Germany where the wagons rule. Everyone says if someone is blowing past you it is a wagon - almost always, usually an Audi or MB. I feel super lucky as there are 3 E63 Wagons in my neighborhood area. The dealers have them on site, and they seem more prevalent than the GT Coupes that blow by every now and then as well. We will be back in the U.S. soon enough.. 5-6 months or so... Love this forum and enjoy it daily. Thanks everyone!
