Thule Hyper XL Cargo box installed
Wife got it for me for Christmas (after I did some extensive research and put it on my wish list) They don't make it all that easy to figure out what you need on their site.
For anyone interested the parts are:
2x Thule AeroBlade Edge 7602B (just 7602 if you want it in satin silver finish)
Thule 4055 Podium Fit Kit (Specific for Mercedes E and C Class wagons)
Thule Hyper XL Roof Box

Thanks, I looked up the Blade 7602 but it has options for small, medium, L and XL. Do you remember which is the correct one for our wagons? Also did you look into the MB bars at all? They look similar - just wondering your thoughts on the benefits of the Thule ones? I already have Thule t-track accessories so I am inclined to stay with Thule. I think the MB Bars have the same T-track fit but since there are actually two t-track sizes I have not been able to verify that the MB bars would works with my Thule accessories. Thanks!

Well then, that doesn't look XL at all! My MB coffin box is huge. Did you consider that one?

I chose the Hyper XL due to it being the most aerodynamic and quiet roof box without waiting on Nord 56 to start selling theirs. And I think they're starting with carbon fiber boxes close to 5 figures in price. The Hyper XL is 17 cubic feet, it just looks "small" but it's 7.5 feet long and 34" wide. The last time I looked the largest Mercedes roof box was 450 liters ~ 15.9 cubic feet.

What rack is that? That seems to be the most low profile option I’ve seen! Been wanting to grab a set for snowboards but thule’s seem to protrude too much above the roofline.

Info's are sold at REI, rack attack and the like. Not sure what model the OP has (none are specific to a car model, rather cross bars) but should be easy to figure out. My Skiguard is the 830 Sport and is sold from their US distributor in Boulder, CO. They ship and are great to deal with. I mounted to Thule AeroBlade crossbars.
