W213 E63 Drag strip.....stock 11.1
Hello,
This is my first post in the W213 section.
I just got a 2018 E63 S Edition 1 and decided to take it to the strip.
The car performed really well with consistent 11.1 at 200km/h

OK, a couple questions:
I didn't realize the ED1 came in Selente Grey Magno! Did you special order it? I also thought the ED1's all came with CC brakes?
Secondly, what track is that? I see you're in the UAE, I'm headed to Dubai in a few weeks and am looking for things to do while in town.
Nice runs BTW

They ordered it here with Selenite Grey Magno and they offer it in Magno Black
It is in Yas Marina Circuit and today we have a big football match, hence the low number of cars at the strip.
Enjoy Dubai

so no issues
For me personally, I always use Vbox to confirm my slips.
now we use dragy
It's always an exact match
You might be talking about certain garages that used to abuse the track when it was not certified. To me, if my times match with other devices am happy.

I went to the track tonight. Ran into problem of the tires getting cold (hour wait per run) and I spun the tires both times. Funny thing was the tires had enough heat in then in the end of the run to launch perfectly on the way back. Best I could manage in my 2 practice runs was 11.3 at 124 with a 1.80 60ft . Crazy I can get 1.65 60ft all day on the street as long as the tires have a little temp in them . Damn pirellis are garbage Mercedes should not put these on. I was going to try a lower rpm launch but it rained and they shut it down

I have Pirellis too
Will change to 4S when they are done
As for me
Weather was around 20C Celsius so not too much of an issue
I did two additional runs with wheel spin getting me 11.22
Will try to post all time slips later on

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are not any better off the line vs the Pirelli’s. They maybe better on a road course going around turns and during braking but the new generation Pzero PZ4’s have decreased the gap there as well.

Then I'm not sure what to do. After driving around for a bit the pirelli hook perfectly even if I launch at 4k rpm even on the street. . But the long wait at the track means the tires are 60 degrees by the time it's my turn, and I wheel hop /wheel spin my way to a 1.8 60ft which is not near the cars potential I guess I could drift mode a burnout then quickly back into 4wd but that's hard given the car thinks you're trying to go into launch e mode everytime you try a burnout and the turbo lag makes it hard to keep still without using the brake

now that I think of it, my fastest run was with hot tires.
I drove to the track, paid the fees and immediately went for a run. From then it just got slower and more wheel spin. Probably the tires got colder then.

Yep the car launches beautiful with warm tires. The question is can the Michelins handle the power when cold . I hate to spend 1400 on tires and have the same problem
