Agree. Also I don't think they are a manufacturer. They are a tuning shop in Miami that has these wheels made by a third party contract manufacturer. So I would worry about the engineering integrity of the wheel compared with an HRE or a BBS.

If I was spending that much the HRE wheels are roughly around the same price point and you wont have to worry about quality or safety while driving. I am gonna get a set of HRE sometime mid summer. Might go with these,

I just had my Velos 21" x 10 & 21" x 11 wheels turn up today. Couldn't get them fitted yet as I found out my stock wheel lugs don't work. Need to order others
Yes, they're expensive. I got the one piece forged which were a little bit cheaper than the ones you're looking at. Velos take a LONG time to get their **** together to deliver them. I ordered mine on January 3rd and only just received them today.
I got a quote for similar style wheels from HRE and they were almost double the price. Michael Khan, I'd love to see where you're getting 21" Forged HRE's at this price (not flow form). The ones you linked to are $1,900 ea for the 18" version, then they go up from there for size and color options. Dang it this addiction is expensive.
Some other options to look at
https://brixtonforged.com/grey-merce...10-ultrasport/
https://www.bcforged-na.com/monoblock/ (I think these run around $4k a set ???)
I didn't go with BBS as they only go up to 20" fitment. I *needed* 21"

I went down the rat hole of expensive custom wheels....ADV1
you will bend them and you have to work with a manufacturer that has the reputation of being able to fix them...
but if I was going to do wheels... robert@strassewheels.com

We would love to help you on the model choice, color combo, and wheel fitment on the HRE's come summer time. Please remember than the HRE's are custom built to order & do take some time to build so if you want the wheels on the car by mid summer we should begin chatting a little bit before then.

Velos are nice wheels. I can't comment on the price because i've never orderd them but i would also go with HRE if the dollars was the same. But i wouldn't not order Velos just from some comments on this thread. Good designs.

Keep in mind I have nothing against HRE. Great wheels, just hard for me to justify the price difference.

Whoever was quoting you wasn't helping you out with any deals whatsoever. In addition, they tacked on one of HRE's most expensive finishes (two-tone). What color did you order the Velos wheels in?

I got the Velos wheels with the same two tone finish.

What kind of idiot would spend over $13K for a set of wheels on a heavy car..
Ya can't see them while driving, they don't make the car handle any better, they don't increase power and no one can even tell what they look like while the car is in motion...

c'mon …. that isn't necessary. Wheels make people happy....and maybe 13K isn't as dear as it might be to you. I've made changes to my wheels and or tires on every car that I have ever owned... I bet most every enthusiast on this forum has done the same...so you are calling all of us idiots? Just not cool.

Maybe the same people that will spend $120-$150k on a car that spends most of it's life sitting inside a garage and will be half it's value in about 4 years?

Finally got the wheels on!!! Love the look and ended up only doing a 10mm drop at each corner and super happy with that.
