Does the wagon share the same frame with the S-class?
I was getting some nice comments about my wagon from a guy who had Mercedes wagons before and he indicated that our wagons share the same frame with the S-class. I don’t think that’s accurate so I’m asking you folks if that could be true. Does anybody know?

W211 2003, W212 2011
Confusion could be because MB use W213 for current E Class and S213 for wagon variant. Sedans are all W, wagons are all S platform codes.

No the E Class Wagon is not built on an S Class platform. The current E Class factory platform code is 213 (previous E Class was 212 etc. These factory platform codes usually have the prefix W for sedans, S for wagons and V for long wheelbase variants. A bit confusing.
