SOS Service not activated?

SOS Service not activated?
All, every time I get in the car I have to acknowledge that my SOS service has not been activated (or I can't see that area of the dash until I do). Is there a way to permanently disable that message? Is this something I have to live with because the car is U.S. Spec and is in Germany? Also, when I do bring my car to the U.S. how does the service get activated? Sorry for the Qs, but the rep at the Center of Excellence told me all about the service and how to push the button on the ceiling if you need have an emergency etc as if it was going to work.. he even cautioned me to not accidentally push it or services might come and then I would have to pay a false alarm.. He never mentioned this will not work till I go to America with the car if that is the case. Thanks for the thoughts!

My SOS service is always showing me message "sos is not ready". I was calling to MB call center and they told me I should pay something in order to get it to work. I bet it's illegal, but I do not care about this at all.
