I viewed the car in person last week. All four wheels will need to be refinished. The car will also need new tires. Overall condition was good. No major scratches. Service done via local MB dealership. Price seems high for an out of warranty E63. I'm at junction point as my current car, a 2014 X5, has many more features such as head up display and better navigation screen. The 2018 wagon has these features but you certainly pay for it.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I'm pretty certain that those stripes aren't from Pep Boys. And if they were well, like some in the C63 AMG group who went to lengths to install the hood, stripes, etc. to make their car look like a 507 or Black Series, it certainly would not be the real deal. However, if you look at the paint (Night Black Magno) you can see the blue and green flakes in it and I'm pretty sure that this paint is only available on the Ed 1. If you could see the window sticker it would have under Optional Equipment and Value Added Packages "P88 Edition 1" which is $22k. Also the steering wheel says Edition 1 on the bottom vertical brace. So this is the real deal, one of three in the U.S.
Cheers!

I can't say what the sticker was on this one but mine was $144,735.00. It has several other options and supposedly, mine is the most loaded of the three. Also, the CO dealership was asking $10k over the MSRP because of its rarity. I got a couple of concessions but it was still expensive. I believe that this particular car had a sticker that was less but I don't know how much less (probably not a lot). Worth it? It's unique but no faster or better handling than any other wagon as the power output is the same though all three did come with the carbon ceramic brakes and forged wheels (a little weight savings). What's interesting is that all three are equipped differently as opposed to the 213 sedan E1s that were exported to the U.S which are all identical. Couldn't find out any info from MB on the why for these except that the GM at Laguna Niguel initially order one and then the other two showed up.

Really wanted that color since I saw the car at the LA autoshow at the US introduction. The color is really interesting in person with a lot of different color sparkles going on. Tried to order the car then but couldn't. Did get a coupon for a $500 discount though which I was able to apply on top of my ED discount.
After seeing the greg Magno my wife actually liked it better than the Night Black Magno which she's seen a couple of times now. I'm also really happy with it as well, especially for its ability to still look clean even with a pretty good layer of dust. I do think the black would tend to show the dust between washes a bit more.

Still no clue how many US spec. ED1 estate/wagons are out there and MB isn’t much help finding out how many of the 213 were wagons.
