I believe Service A is just a oil change am I correct? The dealer wants $450 for service A and if it just a oil change seems like a crazy price?

Wiper blades are replaced, systems are checked, updates loaded during service. I had my navigation updates performed at 10k as well as a TCU update. However, $450 seems a bit much. I would think about $250 would be reasonable with parts and fluids. Not sure what the going rate is as I've purchased the 30k prepaid package.

Probably depends on area and dealers competition. I paid about 450 as I remember and I didn't sign up for maintenance plan.
I found after another dealer will charge at least 25% less plus they participate in COSTCO maintenance discount plan to cut even more. B maintenance will be there.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
If I ever buy a new benz again I will just have a good independent mercedes service place that uses OEM mercedes parts do my service. I bought a new wagon from Auto Nation in Florida along with the 3 year maintainence plan and I'd assumed all along it was through Mercedes, nope, its there own auto nation warrantee and they use after market cheap chinese parts and all they do is drain the oil put in the chinese filter and fill her back up with oil, no wipers or anything fancy like that. For 1300 bucks for 3 years it was the biggest rip off ever. Auto Nations financials just came out last week I think it was and they improved their profits of course but that was with selling fewer cars. They keep this crap up they won't be selling any cars, they are gonna alienate their customer base. But ya, 450 bucks for a service A is ridiculous. A good independent place would be less than half that.

I understand dealers offer discounts on the service, but has it been independent of you buying a vehicle with them. In other words, I’ve got my deal worked out on my car coming soon, I might be interested in buying a maintenance program if a dealerships somewhere offers them at a discount. Since the maintenance program is technically a manufacturer thing and I can use it anywhere, right? Heck, even the service advisor told me he could sell me one but it was the same price as everyone I called and checked with.
And I agree about Auto Nation. I’ve tried to deal with a few of there dealerships in the past and just gave up.

Wiper blades are $78, 9.5 quarts of Mobil 1, oil filter, o-rings, recycle charges, labor charges, misc lubrication of hinges, etc all add up. Don't forget sales tax. Also, the car needs to be on a lift since there is no dipstick and the filter and drain plug underneath the engine. All this takes time which adds to the labor total. I would rather pay this than trying to cheap out on an oil change.

The point is, different dealers charge different prices. AMGs are usually more expensive just from the amount of oil used compared to 4 and 6 cylinder cars. If you think it's bad now, the 6.2's needed even more. And looking at my bill again parts were $211 of the $410 total.

I just had mine done last week. Was about $325. They then took about $30 bucks off for service special. Plus tax. I asked to have NAV updated, as well as all updates. They had four updates plus the NAV. Waiting on invoice to see what was done. I requested the check engine fix as I had that problem in the summer. They also valeted the service. Picked up and delivered the car from my home. The maintenance plan is a rip off. It is not subsidized in the lease. It is a good $300-400 more for me on a three year lease than the non discounted pay as you go. I had the service manager add up the service costs for me when I got the car. I don't know why anyone would ever consider the plan on a three year 30K lease. I only need to do the A and B services.

Forgot about the differential oil change which is included in the pre-pay. My math showed break-even prepaying vs individual services.

I added the diff too. Maybe you are including the 30k service? It is way cheaper for diff, a, and b to pay as you go. I think my diff service was 180 or so...

Just had schedule A service done and, with tax, it was $324.57. They didn't replace the wiper blades (didn't need to) but did a multi-point inspection and replenished the windshield washer fluid.

I did the prepaid 4 year service. I believe it includes two device As and two Bs along with the 2,000 mile rear axle diff oil change. I paid $2,300 and change. Added all up retail would have been $3,000+ so I though it was a no brainer. My car is not a lease.
