Just called the local dealer for service A and they advised me there is a recall on the car which got to do with the bottom bumper inserts grill and radiator ? Have you guys heard of this recall before ? They said stones might get into the bottom and damage the radiator and there is a recall .

Service Campaign 2019040010 MAY19 – 2018 & 2019 213, 253 installed stone chip guard may allow stones to contact the radiator dealer will retrofit a protective grille. Approximately 3104 vehicles are affected.

So this was supposedly installed on the ‘19s from factory but mine didn’t have them. So when it came time for my 2,000 mile oil change they did this same recall. They are plasticky wing/blade like inserts within the grille and intakes. They are supposedly going to mitigate the rock to intercooler/radiator risk. I will take a picture when I can.

My 2018 had these on the side intercoolers but not on the central radiator. I had already ordered the part two months ago before the recall. My SA confirmed that it is the correct part for the installation.

LOL you mean the same **** the ****ing dealer tried to bang me $3,500 for?!

Is it just the bottom radiator or the big one up front too?

anoyne know if they will still do the recall if zunsport grilles are already installed? If I had to choose, I’d stick with zunsport As those inserts do not look all that protective.

Those inserts look like they'll stop cats and small children, but not the normal assortment of rocks, nails, and screws that one normally encounters.

Dropped my car at the dealer yesterday and they are doing that recall and my car has Zunsport grills.
