New Wagon driver coming from VAG
There go the trade in. Porsche 911 and an Audi S7.
Tomorrow arrives the “Station Dragon” as it’s called.
For the last 15 years I have driven Audi’s. From an A6 , to the V10 S6. To a couple A8s and a bunch of Q7. Few of those including the S7 were euro delivery.
I gave up on Audi bringing an RS6 wagon and pulled the trigger on an E63 instead.
I feel prepared for the E after weeks of reading everything on the forum. It was bought site unseen and I haven’t driven a Mercedes product in so long I can’t remember it. 10+ years at least.
I plan on driving it for a good 10 days to take it all in and then share my thoughts. As a reference, I did all the maintenance on the Porsche and Audi’s. Brakes to trans flush to O2 sensors and all the maintenance in between. I am selling my VAG tools on eBay and jumping all in to Mercedes. Planning on replacing the wife’s Q7 soon with something we can pick up on the other side of the pond.
Thats it for now. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and gals.

MBWorld Fanatic!
You gave up on the RS6 Avant right when they decide to bring it over? I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts after you’ve spent some time in the AMG. Congrats.

welcome, and great choice! i also came from VAG, because i was so frustrated that the RS wagons never made it to the US. i switched back in 2014, into a 212 E63 wagon, and am now on my second 213 E63 wagon. couldn’t be happier, and as long as MB sells these cars, i will be driving one.
we’ll have to share the name.

Congrats on getting a super wagon in the garage. Post some pics when it gets in. I just put my deposit down on a September wagon build slot...my 911 will be up and out when the time comes, but I am keeping my tools (and hope for a return to two doors).

Hello! I too came from Audi. Q very custom Audi Exclusive S7. I just convinced myself I needed the wagon and have been very happy with the flexibility. I like the transmission better than the dual clutch unit in the S6/S7 and the hesitation I got at low speeds there. The car is mind numbingly fast. The Audi was no slouch but this is stupid fast. Also, the hard buttons inside beat the touch screen everything that VAG is doing nowadays imo.
Enjoy in good health.

I, too, left Audi for MB/AMG due to VAG's unwillingness to ship the RS4/6 to North America. Much like "sjb" I will be driving MB as long as they keep sending the fun wagons our way. I must say I do miss the Audi's though. And isn't the RS6 now almost definitely coming to NA?
Regardless, enjoy your new wagon!

Audi RS6 wagon
In talking to AOA marketing official in Atlanta the RS6 is not setup to come for at least 2 years based on the campaign lead times for model introduction in new markets. So if this guys knows his stuff the RS6 wagon is 2 plus years away if it is even coming at all.
Ill admit the hype hasn’t ever been to this level but we have been down this road before in the last 15 years with Audi and the hopes of a wagon dropping on our shores. Audi will somehow figure out how to fumble the football on all this.

Car looks great. The brown interior with the black is a nice combination. Also good to hear of a positive interaction on an order. Hope you enjoy the car.
