Remote start

Check if you need to establish m-brace account and possibly pay annual fee to use remote functions. I dont remember exactly the terms but something like 3=4 years included with the new car purchase and after that MB wants payment even from the first owner.

Update for W213 (E Class) Smartkey Starter remote starter coverage development: We are looking to have something available for this vehicle platform by January 2022. Check back in with us around then -- we should have something that you're happy with by around that time!

Ive been doing some research, and i keep hitting dead ends that basically tell me I cannot reregister the car to a different "code" since the previous owner already registered it when new.
Does this sound right to you?

Thanks for the heads up. Do you happen to not be the first owner of your car?

I use the mercedes me app occasionally for remote start/lock and it works for me.
I mostly use the remote start feature to startle unsuspecting people with loud catless downpipe cold starts LOL, at home my car is garaged I have no need for remote start.
It’s laggy and not very intuative interface but it works everytime I need it.

I drive a GLC300. The dealer registered this car and removed the old one. The latest Mercedes Me Connect is on the money. No real connection problems. It can not compare to the old versions. I think I use all the features and they all work great. I send navigation destinations. Remote start on occasion. Check tire pressure. Check Trip data. It tells me that the car is unlocked and asks if I want to lock it.
The car was in for its 2nd year service last week. I could see that it was inside being worked on and then moved to the waiting area for pickup. I guess you might say big brother (me) was watching it.

We're developing a product coverage that doesn't previously exist in any form. We've also been crazy busy here (good problem), but sometimes this cuts into development time, and as a result, timelines sometimes shift. We are still going to roll out this coverage. Thanks for your patience!

Meanwhile my Chevy truck circa 2012 has remote start on the fob and will start from half a mile away in seconds.
