Track slips

Since everything posted on the Internet is true here are some 1/4 passes I made yesterday at the track. I’m car 738

But in all seriousness it was a roll race event. Roll at 30-40 and hit it at the tree. The car that beat me with the 132 pass was a heavily modified 2nd gen CTSV. I did this same event in June and my best was 127.5 so the tweaks I made helped my MPH.

What was interesting to me is that rolling verse dig only changed my mph by 2. Rolling 40 start I hit 127 mph with tune only. From dig I ran 125 mph tune only. Based on that fact I think my car has 129 mph pass in it which should equate to a 10.5 run. Hoping to get a 10.5 next weekend and then I’m done for the year with all the testing.

That is odd that your mph from a roll is that low. I’ve never done timed 1/4mile rolls but I’d certainly expect having a 30-40mph head start would give more top end over a standing start than just 2mph.

I was surprised in June when I did the first event but guys that have done it before gave me a heads up. I guess it makes sense if you think how quick these cars accelerate to 30-40.

30-40 mph ~60 feet. Compare with your 60 ft times on draggy.

Adding 60 or even a 100feet to quarter-mile will have minimal difference on the Trap speed

That’s a better way to think about it for my logical brain. Thanks!
