2020 E63 refresh availability?
They send the car car to the US dealer with all the discounts, plates, etc, but with none of my miles.
A month later when Parker (Vehicle Virgins) went to pick up his car he was told it wasn't ready. I think in his case it was a parts shortage, maybe for CCBs, don't remember exactly.
So, stuff happens. It's been a while but I think they still hadn't released the US cars from the VPCs that had been sitting all summer. I remember being really hopeful that the emissions issue would clear and that I'd have my car in time for Christmas.
While the US cars did get released, my car spent Christmas and New Years at the VPC and didn't end up getting released till the end of January. In my case, it took a bit of extra time since they had to replace the windshield due to a rock chip that happened on the autobahn the last night we had the car, and from a fender scuff where someone apparently bumped me in a parking lot. I must say, the VPC in Baltimore did really good work. It isn't clear whether they replaced the whole left front fender or somehow repaired the original one, but it is absolutely perfect and was worth the wait.

I was told during the factory tour that the VPCs have full blown body shop capabilities rivaling the factory. Didn't know at the time I'd be using them, but I'd have to say I agree this is true seeing the quality of the work performed.

Once you know the ship name you can use a vessel tracker website to watch it sail this way. Mine should be arriving on the east coast by tomorrow, then I'm not sure if it will be trucked across country, or if the ship will continue to the west coast to me.
If you read my other post it appears we will most likely not get our cars till november. My car has been at the vpc since 8/22 - built 7/17. Mine is a wagon too and I was told they have no set date but the current release schedule shows mid Q4 so that’s November.

Counting down the days! No CCBs for me..
My dealer was all excited about ordering the car, but they tell me they don’t know the VIN or the build date on my car yet. It was ordered back in May and I have the order number from MB, but nothing else.

In any case, I uploaded a clipping of a document my dealer sends me, at my request, regarding my order that tracks the build date assignment and production:
I forget the name of the computer system they use to track these, but it's an easy thing for them to print and scan you the order status of your car. Have them do it for you today, so you at least can confirm the build slot.

Beautiful!! Congrats.
I am in South Florida and couldn’t do that. It would be a killer down here with the heat in the summer. Besides, we have a Black E class sedan at home already. I went Blue with the Macchiato interior. And the silver multispokes.
Spent the last 9 years in a black-on-black 6MT Cayenne GTS and was looking for a lighter setup.
Also plan winter tire swap on stock wheels - for Tahoe/Bachelor.
Just standard ED 5% + destination waiver (~$1k) for me, but I didn't push.
