Just ordered the Renntech Tune, Wiestec VTA Adapters, andRenntech EVM.
BlackFriday/CyberMonday SALE
15% OFF at RENNTECH with Free 2 Day Shipping.
Came to just around $3,800
Install for all 3 will be next week. I'm going to do some spirited driving all stock around here in Connecticut/NY, then do the installs (thanks everyone for the detailed installation tips so i can DIY).
The only thing I'm worried about is having to jack the car up to get to the exhaust valve for the EVM Install, is it necessary???

*** So I plugged in the Renntech HHT and poof!!! Over 770hp! Less than 2 mins.
for the exhaust valve mod, it was a 2 hour install. It took a while to get the clips out and then making sure to zip tie everything properly took some time. I wrapped the plastic box with foam and zip tied it inside the trunk behind the carpeting pull out.
The sound is certainly more volume and a lot more vibration. I think it’s just right! And comfort mode with the valves open (pressing#1) it sounds like the W212 with downpipe‘s... when you get into score plus and race it just turns up the volume a little bit more and the type of pops are different. It will take some getting used to as I was a master at timing the RPMs to get the pops just right(when I wanted to show off a bit).
I finished installing both around seven at night so it was dark out and a little bit wet so I didn’t really get a chance to open the car up. From a quick drive around the block I can definitely hear the turbos more because of the tune and the difference in torque you can feel for sure.
Installing VTA Adapters next week, really excited for that.
If you’re on the fence for the Renntech (or other) EVM... go for it. Install isn’t terrible and the sound is worth it. The only negative is that you are running wires close to heat shield and exhaust. So there’s always a risk that you don’t zip tie it properly and it melts.

I know this post was from a long time ago, but do you know if its a similar set up in the trunk of GLC 63?
I got the Renntech EVM and the dealer wont install it for me...so I am going to try it myself.
Instructions and pictures from Renntech are crap....
Thanks.

sorry for the grammar - driving around heating exhaust pops and using talk2text.

MY17 S63AMG - MBUSA Buyback. MY16 SL63 - Sold MY19 W213 E63s. 2020 W213 E63s Wagon
I just wanted to add to be careful when running the wires by the exhaust pipes where the Renntech wires will touch them. I tried finding α photo to no avail, but I had it installed on my 2017 W222 S63 and the heat from the exhaust pipes burned through the Renntech wires where the inner copper wires was exposed and would image it would of completely failed if I didn’t have it removed because MBusa bought the car back.

Renntech evm for 2021 C63S coupe
Are there any discounts going on, discount codes, or anticipated times of the year when discounts are typically offered by Renntech? I would like to buy the evm control module, but for what it is, it would sure be great if there was a way to trim 10-20% off of the price. Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@BC-2 , sorry for reviving this from 2019. I recently got an EVM as well for my 2018 wagon, but I can't seem to thread the wires down from the trunk to the bottom of the car. Are these instructions for wagon/sedan?

Since there are no directions for the wagon I did this... pull all the trunk trays out. Almost in the middle of the back there is a rubber grommet. Pull that out a few inches and carefully slice it so you can pull the long plug through from the module end (after disconnecting it from the renntech module). Then from underneath the car simply route the new wires back to the rear exhaust flap modules and tie wrap them later. Unplug the existing connectors to the exhaust flaps (there are little white tabs you need to release first and these plugs are the hardest part of the job). Once unplugged, plug the new renntech plugs to the exhaust flap modules and plug the old factory plugs to the other renntech connectors.

Thank you, I got it to work! A little bit different on the wagon I guess, had to thread it through a little hole behind the rear tail light on passenger side.
However, my EVM remote doesn't work for some reason and now flaps are just permanently open. The car is also getting boost limitations and not going above 390HP... ECU must think the valves are stuck closed and won't produce more power. Saw this issue on another thread on tuned E63's (mine is bone stock though so not sure what went wrong there).

Well well, by some kind of magic, the valves made some weird noise for 5 seconds this morning at cold start, then everything else was fixed afterwards. No more boost issues, no more exhaust valves being stuck. Guess it's my lucky day
The only remaining weird thing is that the exhaust button in the car still works, I thought the remote was supposed to take over with the EVM!

I just want to confirm; the Renntech EVM has not discernible difference in sound under load in sport +. I understand there are differences in the exhaust sound in comfort setting.

There is. Without the module, flaps are not fully open even if the toggle is on unless you’re WOT.

While this is true, I could not tell a discernable difference in the way is sounds in Sport+ after installing mine, so I was slightly disappointed having paid $700+ for it and spending almost 2 hours installing.

Thanks for the input; does everyone else feel the same way when driving in sport +?

Like @Drewsky00 said, I don't think it's $700+ worth of sound, even in Sport+. I personally feel the biggest difference during lower speed / city cruising / cold starts. At higher speeds or cruising along on the freeway, not much.

Info@asr-component.de is Michael's email. He takes a day to respond, so don't get frustrated. If you send me a PM, I have a PDF for the install. If you send me your cell # on PM< I can text you the video I made last night for another forum member..
When you email Michael, tell him the you have a W213 with the performance exhaust and you want the exhaust valve flapper module. He will then get your email and paypal info and send you the pay pal invoice. He ships quickly. The install in alot easier for the SEDAN, they did not have instructions for the Wagon, so my Indy and I had to get crafty and do it ourselves ( the wagon has different placement of cabling and modules than the sedan).
